And when they showed the starters last 10 games card there were no complete games so also encouraging. Lastly and most importantly I think this looks fun!

Yea I saw that on Gallen, 200 IP, 150 Ks. Dude is a strike out pitcher.

Looks like no sim stat fixes.

I did notice on that one screen it showed 28 roster slots for MLB and only 84 org slots. Thats gotta be a bug.

stream felt like they were stalling and dragging it out to fill a timeslot when they really didn't have a lot of substance to show.

the franchise mode still lags behind NBA, NHL and NCAA. Feels like it is stuck in 2015.

They had to address online franchise in the stream because so many people were mentioning it. This has become a yearly thing. Give the people what they want!

Lots of good off-season stuff but as a 30 team control guy who is god over my franchise universe I dont feel they touched on some things that I'm interested. Im still a pre-order but would have liked to have seen more quality of life stuff.

Let you start in the offseason of the year prior if you want.
They gave a lot of time to pretty much cover what the video covered as JWD said above. Definitely not hyped for franchise mode myself. FA does look better.

I'm a franchise only player and already pre-ordered the game but that was a very disappointing stream. 1 hour to teach us how free agency works is ridiculous. And it looks like you if u want a real life baseball offseason 30 team control is needed bc they had my Brewers sign Cease at the very end of the stream which would never never never happen. Brewers r a February discount team.

Again I love the game and will play many hours but that was pretty much worthless.

I'm happy that SDS has been spending development budget over the past couple years improving Franchise. We had scouting updates, draft updates, and now off season/free agency/contract/qualifying offer/arbitration updates.

                  Looking great!
Bullpen logic won’t be improved this year, not worth getting our hopes up. I know some people don’t think this is a lot, but they had to strip out the old contract/trade/FA logic and rebuild it to do this.

Now that this base is done, they should be able to focus on the bullpen logic/roster management since that is the next big legacy item to fix. It actually has shown me for the first time in years that they are going in the right direction and care about the mode, so I think that will be the focus for next years game.

This has more to do with the K/9 attribute being lower due to the DD vs offline roster being the same. They need to fix the roster and that fixes itself. I always tweak the K/9 for every pitcher in the game before starting my franchise so that I get accurate K stats.

Unless online franchise gets added, which I know many want (I don't care personally)

It feels like this issue keeps getting kicked down the line. It's been a problem for like 10 years. We don't even have openers yet.

And then lineups are still from the pre-2000s.

To anyone who watched it, was it worth sinking and hour and half to watch it? Or did it pretty much just go over what we already know?

                          Positives I saw

Love the previous game stats in player card
Player models have improved as have the jerseys…looked at Tyler O’Neill video…jersey is tight and you can actually tell he is muscular unlike previous MTS.
Free agency similar to what MTO has had but that does seem improved as well.

I doubt they’d do online franchise before fixing the roster issues. It definitely was kicked down the line for like 8-10 years. But these last two years they essentially completely redid drafting, scouting, free agency, and trading. Roster management seems like the natural progression for next thing to revamp from scratch.

You'd be shocked at how many issues Online Franchise had when it was a thing. The mode was largely broken and needed workarounds for like everything. I still went through the pain in order to enjoy a franchise with friends. I miss it a ton.
