I should be able to sign some lower level middle relievers or some depth type players that will not take much negotiation while still going after my top 3. I don’t really like having limits put up. But overall I’m impressed.
They didn’t show this well, but the point is that you can focus on the big names early and then the other lower level guys go later in the offseason. Or you can focus on the lower end guys early and snap them up right away.

Essentially the top guys will be harder to get and take more recruiting while the less coveted guys will be more available and easier to sign. So it somewhat makes it fun because you have to decide between going after a big FA right away or worrying about maybe signing lower level guys to fill out your roster.

I’d still like to see how it works when you look to fill out your minor league squad with depth pieces later in the winter.

Worth noting: at 17:14 you can see that Roki Sasaki was listed in the transaction log - im guessing that means he is in the game from the start
      Chicago Cubs
      Michigan Wolverines

At the age of around 35 his attributes decline significantly but in the past you could offload him in a trade to get rid of his contract. Apparently that has been made more difficult in mlbts26.

I don't think they said how team revenue will work year to year.

I'm just surprised SDS hasn't made this fix yet for those uniforms without NOBs. I believe not every team that doesn't sport NOBs wears the number higher, so perhaps that's why it hasn't been done?

Though, it's clear they are capable of moving the numbers up higher as the newer LAD CCs have it that way (albeit they have NOBs below the number)

And when they showed the starters last 10 games card there were no complete games so also encouraging. Lastly and most importantly I think this looks fun!
You must be simming. I rarely see a complete game in manage mode. Maybe once a year.

I think the honest answer is that most people wouldn’t be able to tell that much of a difference . The Dodgers Uniforms were completely unique with the names under the number. It would be a nice fix if they did it, but it’s one of those nice to have things since most people don’t care or wouldn’t notice.

Do you play every game or just your team’s games? If it’s just your team’s games, then check the stats because it’s usually like 5-7 a year unless you tweak the sliders, otherwise on manage mode you would rarely see it. I’ve gotten it down to 3 or less so it’s a bit more realistic in the CPU vs CPU games that quick sim.

Just my team's games. Interesting. That might explain the low stamina numbers for generated starting pitchers in the draft.

Not knocking the updates here as this was much needed. But in the scope of things, the meets and potatoes are in the 162 season. This takes months (for those who play all) vs. 3-4 hour off season. I would have liked to see

                  - bullpen logic
                  - organizational philosophy (e.g. speed, power, defense, etc.)
                  - 3 team trades

Just my 2 cents. Still a day 1 for me.

I keep two different sets of sliders for playing and simming. The sim sliders lower the pitcher stamina and the playing sliders lower the manager hook so guys stay in the game a bit longer.

I'm exclusively manage mode and I don't adjust sliders.

I like the offseason additions. See s like we wont need to micromanage that portion anymore. Ive been a huge critic of them not fixing legacy issues like bullpen and lineup logic but i have to give them a pass this year because they gave us a lot. Also with how detailed oriented Tim is, i am confident that when Tim does touch the roster logic , it will be done right.

Saw that the Red sox had david Hamilton batting second. So looks like the lineup logic as def isnt fixed.

The limit of 3 free agents at a time is something I'm not sure I like but I'll use the Pirates as a relocated franchise and they don't have much money for free agents anyway so it's probably okay.

One nice addition is the game calculates arbitration and renewable contracts for you and gives you a remainder amount to spend. That saves a lot of work.

The new offseason is a step in the right direction, but honestly feels "half baked" to me
                            - No front/backloading contracts
                            - Cant "overpay" a guy until he reaches 50% interest - why not let me overpay him and roll the dice
                            - Budget is set other than freeing up more in arb/renewal- I can't go to the owner and ask for more money and make the case for more budget for a guy that will put us over the top or in playoff contention
                            - Motivations are under the hood- would be nice to have motivation tags shown
                            - Wish the "wine and dine" was done similar to CFB recruiting with pitches/hard and soft sells vs a fixed interest increase per week

Also agree that the bullpen logic is a huge disappointment - so frustrating playing game 110 and the cpu bringing in one guy for his 75th game and throwing him multiple innings while they have another whos pitched in 30 (and not been injured)

If they really did remove options that is a huge disappointment.

Relocated?!?! I love the idea of saving them from
the dumpster fire ownership, but man, I love playing in that park!
