Good to see people got their voices heard, whether the option is or isn't reversed, at least it was finally discussed with bashing to a lesser degree.

By the way, my opinion...the options are reversed.
Yeah I'll be the first to admit that I probably was too defensive with a lot of things. I just am so sure that theres something going on with this that I jumped a little bit on people and I do apologize.

All in all, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Nobody here is right or wrong. It is all opinions and that's what it will always be no matter what. I am glad a lot of people have tried it ON and enjoy the game like I do (not that I didn't enjoy the game before) and a lot are still playing with it OFF and enjoying it as well.

I agree that there is something funny with this setting, but I went back to playing with it off on Legend because it is more exciting to me with it off.

ok had another 2 organic awesome games.....

        first game mets at phillies...

        3-2 win....

        6 hits each

close the whole way through , had 2-1 lead going to top of 9....lidge blows it on a first pitch slider meatball to wright.....2-2....then I K the next 3 hitters.

bottom of 9 rollins gets a walk.....victorino adcances him...utley delivers a bloop single to right for the winner. woooo
first win against the mets in the game, i had lost 4 straight to them in exhibition , one game as much as 10-3!

next game phillies at pirates....i won 10-1....scored 7 runs after 4 innings, pirates scored just once in the 2nd and got a total of 6 hits . ( i got 13 hits)
it was hamels on the mound so i was dealing, he had 7 ks in 7 innings 91 pitches only gave up 5 hits...but since it was a blowout, i told condrey to get in some mop up duty and he held on as i tack on ANOTHER run top 9 on a howard bomb to dead center.

so ok.....9 run win with no threat at all from the cpu....never saw these games before...NEVER

So is the consensus that this comeback option turned "ON" allegedly only seems to effect legend difficulty ???

It's really blatantly obvious for me. If others aren't seeing this as well then I don't know, they just aren't seeing it too. All that matters is that we can enjoy the game with it ON as well as others can enjoy it with it OFF. The one thing we all agree on is the game is great!! LOL.

You are just like me though man. Your findings were the exact same as mine. I actually think I lose more now with this ON then when I had it OFF which is fine with me. I would feel like before I always came back with cheap wins. Now I have to fight my way back offensively. Just plays organic and I'm loving every minute of it.
            Hi guys,

I had a game last night against the Dodgers which really made me lose my rag. I was up 6-0 after a barrage in the 5th inning. Then the Dodgers scored 1, 1, 2 and 3 runs in the last four inning to win it 7-6. Jimenez was injured after four and a bit, Wakefield came in, struck the next two out, gave up 1 in the 6th, 1 in the 7th, then Corpas gave up 2 in the 8th only for Street of all people to give up 3 runs in the 9th to turn a certain victory into a loss.

After that game I wanted to try the handicap option out, and it's worked wonders for me. First game I won 6-2, second game lost 9-5 in the 10th inning, third game lost 4-0. It's great now, because when I concede runs I know it's either bad pitching or good hitting, with no interference so to speak.

It feels great to be in control of what I'm doing in the game. Whether that has a good effect on my already abysmal 14-32 record in my franchise is another matter!

Last year I played on veteran and I'd say won 6 out of 10 games. At first I thought that losing a lot of games was part of the learning curve, and it was to some extent in the first week of the season or so, but put it this way I'd won 13 games before I changed to ON, and 8 of them were by one run, two by 2 runs and 3 by 2 runs or more. Then, what do you know? First game after the change and I win by 4. I should have won the next game too but the third I didn't have much of a chance.

I like the fact my 5th starter doesn't always get smashed around now also.

I think so...I'm on all-star and I haven't been able to get a good feel for it. I've been getting blown out every game and haven't had a chance to get ANY lead really. And my hitting has somehow disappeared.

I just tried to OFF again and held the CPU to 4 runs, but my offense is still struggling. Don't know what happened to me, as I was in a groove not to long ago.

Re: so I played my first game with CPU comeback set to ON

I won a game 3-1 on all-star tonite with the option "ON", i was the twins vs the rangers. They took a 1-0 lead then in the 7th i hit a two run hr. with Casilla and added another in the 8th on a single to centre by Casilla (he's now my hero, lol). The cpu started a bit of a comeback in the 8th 2 on 1 out but i got them to hit into a double play to end the inning. I brought Nathan in to try and close out the 9th and it was an uneventful 3 up and 3 down inning . So i can say there was no attempt at any crazy comeback by the cpu, so i'll likely stick with the option ON at least for now anyways. I also managed to strikeout 5 cpu hitters with Kevin Slowey in 6 1/3 innings i thought that was pretty good. My hitting sliders for the cpu were pretty much default except i had solid hits at 3 and power at 3 same as mine were at.

I'm playing on all star and from what i can tell the comeback option is right the way it is. I Played the Dodgers with the Braves in my season and was able to shut them out 3-0. The very next game i got my pee pee smacked 9-0 by the Brewers. They went up 3 in the third and never slowed down.

In my season im 7-2 and have had the whole range of games. Oh and my closer has a 1.56 era 4 saves and only one blown save. IMO if on All-Star the comeback option was reversed then I would have a lot more blown saves and would have a higher era.

From what i am reading it sure seems like an issue on Legend but I dont think their is a problem with All-Star.

I play strictly on All-Star and the difference is night and day.

I'm keeping it ON. Just won 8-0 last night and lost back to back games 5-1 and 7-3. I bet in 30+ games prior to changing, I never won 8-0. Not even close.

This is exactly to a TEE what I see as well. From my OP, after playing over 100 games with it set to OFF and only winning by 4 at the most, I turn it ON and my first 2 games are a 12-4 winner and a 9-2 winner. That was enough for me to get immediatley excited.

I posted some screenshots a couple page back of a 2 hit shutout I got with my #4 starter Edwin Jackson with the Tigers. 7.1ip 2h. My bullpen mowed down the rest and I won 2-0. 2 hits in all given up.

Also, what can they say really?
Evan if someone from them comes abroad and say: hey guys the option is not reversed or broken... it wont change the FACT that i(and many others) am having more realisict games and box scorers with the option ON.. So theres really no need for them to say anything, at least in my point of view.

If I'm getting the gameplay I want-I could care less if I had every option turned on and playing on rookie level. Although I don't  I'm playing on veteran level with comeback on for the time being. I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing. Guess I'm in complete agreement with Brunnoce.

It doesn't make a difference what they say. If they said it was reversed and you liked playing with it OFF would you play with it ON just because they said so?? I know myself that I wouldn't. Just play with whatever option you are comfortable with and most importantly enjoy the game.
