The rundowns I encountered were in a 2 player game. There are more animation specific things going on with rundowns which looked good. The team said there was some AI logic done in this area but I did not witness it first hand.

when players get added to their teams rosters via the updates, will they have pictures with them this year? Or will it just be the generic faces?

            Generic I would assume.

i'm not exactly sure the roster edits from sony put in Generic faces, I realize they arent photos but they do work out the facial features. For example, when Jordan Schaefer was added to the Braves' roster last year, I was amazed that they went through to trouble to try to get his face correct, it was nearly spot on.

                I didn't mean generic....I meant .....not photos.
Whatever face was put on the player in the editor..is what shows up.
Some were better than others though.

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions

i loved 2009 but my one major complaint was that when i was all through messing with the rosters, all the lineups set for all teams, all rotations set, i would start my season and my first game the computer would mess with the rosters and lineups.

example: playing against the mets, they would have david wright leading off, reyes batting 7th.... a whole bunch of weird things. i also remember playing the nationals and they would always mess with the starting lineups.

i know you could control all computer rosters but i dont want them to mess with the lineups once i set them.

also i remember they would call up and demote players after i set the rosters.

i like how madden has total control, where if a player gets hurt and i control all 32 teams, i have to add a player off the waiver wire.

will mlb the show have something like this?

This has been answered many times in this thread and others.
Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.

does the weather (rain/snow/wind) affect the game and playing conditions at all?

No rain or snow in the game. Wind does effect the ball though

                              Lineups will stick.
Injuries or trades will have the CPU adjust them...as well as rest days for players.
You can also choose to control them if you like for all teams now(just lineups if you want)

                              this is for REDZRA(his quote)
dont think ive seen this talked about, but it was a pretty major problem last year. Has the low breaking balls that get by the catcher just because you are up on the count been toned down or fixed? I realize it was there to discourage throwing purpose bAlls as a risk/reward BUT when a pitcher is up 0-2 or 1-2 the catcher will CALL for the pitch in the dirt so hes ready to at least block it and keep it in front of him.

Just seemed the ball went to the backstop a bit too often for major league catchers who are expecting it.

A couple of things....while I don't agree that it was a "major" problem....and certainly wasn't a forced or scripted event like you allude to....it did happen.
However.....all of us at CD....saw very little of it happening like '09..

Are the day/night problems for the west coast teams and the Cubs gone, or will we not know that until the game ships?
