I think this started to get dramatically better in 09. The show 10 builds on this some more. There has also been a bump up in hit variety as I walked away impressed with what I saw. This game has some incredible choppers in it now, flailing opposite field hits and dunks just over the infield.

The hitting system is drawing you in closer with "feel" type contact. You visually see, feel and hear your contact with the ball and it seems right based on the quality of contact made.

Have the CPU mound visits been toned downed or at least made more situation appropriate?

Some good work went into AI logic with the cpu pitchers this year. Mound visits made sense with situational moves taking place based on who was at the plate.

Can a ball be cutoff mid throw?

Ex. I push x to throw home but see the runner advancing, can I select to cut it off before the ball reaches the cutoff man?

So I wont be seeing the infamous pitching coach come out in the first inning from the lead off walk I worked?

I agree that it did get better last year 08 there were way to many, and I cant wait to see one of those choppers. I have just have really been noticing the amount of balls not leaving the yards to opposite field in real baseball as we enter the post steroid era. Except right field in the bronx of course.

You cannot do this. BUT the cut off man fakes you out at times and prepares himself as if he is going to cut the ball off.

                  Thanks for the quick response.

It would be nice but it isn't imperative, I was just hoping it would be in this year.

I disagree, I have seen a fair amount of opposite field home runs last year. Yankee stadium excluded.

You probably will not see this until a new throwing mechanic gets introduced.

I don't know if you guys (CD crew) tested this, but do you have unlimited visits to the mound?

If you answered this earlier, I probably missed it, but can you argue calls?

Multiple visits appeared to be fixed and you cannot manually argue calls.

1 visit per inning, and if you do another you have to change pitchers.

No user-controlled arguing, but the ejection and almost-ejection scenes will still occasionally fire on close plays.

I still haven't seen this question answered

Does the players after a strikeout or anytime, really, walk into the dugout?

                              Someone please answer
