If you use a player who is going to need a rest in the near future in the DH spot....he does actually get a rest there now.
It won't be as full as a complete free day off(from how I understood it from Kolbe)...but it will be a rest.
This is also tied into durability...so if a DH has high durability...he should be able to go almost the entire season.

    Hope this makes sense.

Is this also true for everyday players at other positions. E.g. will Jeter be able to play 160 games without substitution for fatigue?

Knight, I have three questions: How does progressive field in cleveland look in this years game? Will the drum guy be in the game this year ( the guy that pounds a drum when the tribe gets a rally going? Also will the home run siren sound that the indians use at progressive field be in the game this time around? Thank You

Ken...I'm sorry....I got to play a total of maybe 3 games.
I was balls deep in franchise stuff....testing and looking for things.
Maybe one of the other guys noticed.

        One thing on fields.
Kolbe stated that there is wear and tear...not only in game but throughout the season. I was doing something else I guess.....because I would really like to know to what end in that regards...and didn't get to ask!

I dont know if any non dev would know this but maybe you asked, is there going to be a roster update the day the game drops, that will have all the offseason moves since the roster cutoff should be soon or already passed

Based on what I read here, it's just a holding area for players; you can't actually play with your single-A team.

Okay, thanks. It's a nice option to designate the rookie ball through single A players on instead of having to place a raw prospect immediately on the AA team.

Just to make sure, no one else knows anything else about changes to Wrigley other than what's been said here, right? I guess I might be stuck waiting patiently (or impatiently) for March 2nd. :P

Knight, to understand your comments regarding franchise -->

If I want to set-up the lineups @ rotations but let the CPU do everything else (trades, FAs, promotions/demotions, etc) I can do that? ...and if I want to to do something w/that team I can toggle the option back and forth?

                    Is that right?

Can we manual ppd certain games on franchise? and choose the replay date? and or games postponed at all this year? Seems If we can manual injure guys this would be another progression to following the "real mlb" season

                          Rosters are set this Monday.
I believe the first update will be after release.

Negative. The schedule is on lock down.

Thanks Knight. Another question Did you guys notice any overlays with the number of pitches your pitcher thrown so far? like in the 6th inning or anything?

I have a question regarding rosters. Let's say for example, the Cardinals sign Jim Edmonds at this very moment to a one-year deal. Since he didn't play last year, would SCEA be forced to not include him until he actually plays in a 2010 major league game?

It actually scrolls on the ticker. Breaks it down and gives the total.
