re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions

question pertaining to replays. i noticed in the mlb 09 that on replays the tron in the scene would have the current info even if the play was from the previous play or the first inning. Ex: they replay a homerun you just hit and the tron already says HOMERUN even before you leave the yard, bc the current tron says that. I also noticed pertaining to replays of previous innings. Does anyone know if that was dealt with here in 10?

I would also like to know this..

As a uniform note (I may have missed this answer elsewhere).. do we have the option to give players baggier [old-school] pants? Or perhaps the throwback uniforms have this programed in already?

Thanks for all the info fellas. Looks like we might as well lock it up already, The Show will be far and away the best sports game released for the second straight year.

THE RANGERS BALLPARK ALSO HAS LED BOARDS NOW AROUND THE BALLPARK. THEY ADDED THOSE LAST YEAR AS WELL. WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THOSE ALSO.

I don't know if it's been asked or answered already if so I apologize. This year can we sign free agents without having to replace them with another player?

I believe you can, it will give you a few day grace period to get rid of a player though to maintain the 90 man rosters.

ON THE THROWING METER, THEY SAID THAT FROM THE OUTFIELD IF YOU DIDN'T TIME IT RIGHT IT LOOKED LIKE LITTLE LEAGUE. I HOPE THEY CAN FIX THIS BECAUSE THE THROWING METER IS A GREAT IDEA, BUT NO MATTER HOW BAD OF AN ARM A MAJOR LEAGUER HAS REALISTICALLY THEY DO NOT THROW WITH A " RAINBOW" FROM THE OUTFIELD.
I JUST WANT TO SAY THIS SOUNDS LIKE AN AWESOME GAME JUST DIDN'T WANT THAT TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE REALISM.

It's not because you did not time it correctly. It occurs if you are deep in the outfield and just tap the button to input the weakest throw. It results in a high looping throw to the cutoff or infielder. If you give a normal button press you will be fine. To be honest you really have to do this on purpose for it to happen.

hey Ace...welcome to the forums. Please don't post in all caps as one..it represents shouting/yelling on the message boards and two, and probably more importantly, its tough to read.

Thanks and once again...welcome to OS and the Show community.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I think I read that somewhere I should have been more specific. I meant for rosters outside of franchise or season mode.

Yup, pretty sure he was with the Astros and oddly enough, I was there for all of those as well. In fact, I was doing the Bucco Brigade (hot dog & t-shirt people) when Ward hit his. We were on the riverwalk in that area during the inning break and just missed the splash by a minute or two as we went to our next location.

Anywho, great job by the CD guys to answer questions!
