No this is a feature I really wanted to get in the game but there is just to much legal red tape since the game is not rated M.

Guess this wasn't one of those things you could file as an "online interatcion not rated by the ESRB"? That would've been an awesome feature though.

Definitely.
If you decide to use the Polo Grounds as your home stadium....you better have a SPEEDY OF.
Trust me.
In the game with bhurst...I couldn't get to a ball hit over my head with my LF(slightly towards center) ...and what would have normally bounced off the wall(normal OF wall) for a sure double possible triple...instead rolled all the way to the 455 ft mark in LF(not even the longest part of the park!!!!!!!!) for an inside the park homer.
You definitely need to draft/trade/sign to your ballpark strengths.

Yes. Not to mention a 60% (I believe) drop in performance in that position due to it not being a secondary.

I don't know if it's that much....
It's also dependent on current position...secondaries and their relation to the "out of position" you're playing the player.
The one thing in talking with Brian is I got the feeling he would like to make some of the penalties more drastic and while it will effect range/fielding ability...I think he would like it to show more in the game(meaning with special animations). I think they just feel that it won't happen(or shouldn't) enough to go to far in depth with it.


Also...a little note.
I have a confession.
After simming a few seasons and going in and playing the Futures Game(which was pretty cool!)...I decided to play the Home Run Derby...
I think I may be hooked!
It's such a ridiculous mode IMO....but I had a blast trying to beat the other CPU players.

Correct if a player is playing in his secondary position he takes a 20% ratings hit if hes totally out of position I believe he takes a 60% hit.

But I would love to see animations, etc that also show poor fielding out of position. Weird looking Manny or Canseco like fielding plays.

guys I need a quick answer to this..are the sound clips still appx 20secs in length? I'm working on a few things testing (30 different variations of Take me out to the Ball Game)

Yea, HR Kings(Gamecube) had backwards hats also.. Don't think it was specific, pretty sure everyone had them.

and all star baseball 05 had players wearing hats backwards too.

will the final build of The Show 10 have the 2009 portraits? in the videos posted the built that was being played had the 08 portraits.

I always used to do a HR derby on my own during a season on the older games, I would pick the top 4 HR leaders from each league and take them into HR derby, now the show 10 will do it for you in season! cant wait

Knight, how did they determine what players participate in the HR derby? was it just the top leaders? Also did the HR derby participants wera helmets or hats?
