To be clear, I am using 30 team control (but using the Astros) and can either let this go through or reject it. Trying to decide and thought I would elicit some opinions.

Haha, except that Castro gets to move into a nice uptown apartment, while Hill has to worry about getting mugged on the way to the park from his new southside residence.

He actually seems happy (team more than salary, but both good).

I decided to veto this one, in as much as Lackey was the Red Sox big free agent signing, and only in his first year with the club. The trade made sense within the framework of the game I suppose, but I decided to block this one.

I'm working on a Tiger's franchise, and just like in real life, Laird can't hit. So I'm trying to find a new catcher.

Toronto Blue Jays Get:

C Gerald Laird
SP Alfredo Figaro

Detroit Tigers Get:

C John Buck


I figure if this doesn't work out I'm gonna try and go after Taylor Teagarden.

I'm using the Dodgers in my franchise and I want to trade for Pujols. The Cardinals are willing to accept:

James Loney and Matt Kemp for Pujols. I'm also willing to throw in an A prospect pitcher even though I don't have to.

Is this a fair trade?

Yeah, that's a pretty fair trade as far as trades for Pujols go. If you didn't make the trade the Rays would get him for Soriano and Pena, they always do.

Always? I did dozens of test runs in various stages of patching and only seen Pujols traded twice; both times for Ryan Howard straight up. In all of my test runs, the only two players I can think of that always got traded for me were Price and Burnett, and Mauer but only pre patch 2. Not once was Price or Burnett traded to the same teams and certainly not for the same players. I am not sure why you are seeing the Pujols trade repeatedly, unless of course you aren't and just being a wise a$$

speaking from experience... DO NOT go for teagarden... Being a TX alum I traded for him in my Mariners Franchise last year and this year... and He just doesnt progress well in this game...

Now this could partly be because I cant hit with him at all... and is just so-so defensively...

If your looking for a young talent I'd go Montero from the Yanks...

Well, I would go for Montero, but I play on the PSP and PS2. So, my ability for full minors is fairly limited. I would've had a PS3 this summer but the money situation fell through.

Anyway, I know Teagarden doesn't progress well, but in the past 2 or 3 iterations of The Show, I've been able to hit pretty well with him. My only thing is that he's touted so much as a prospect, even if his star is fading already.

Mariners trade Cliff Lee, Dustin Ackley, and Adam Moore to Twins for Joe Mauer, and Francisco Liriano. Ok I was usering the Mariners, and yes I was shocked as hell my self when they acepted.

I am curious as to what roster set you are using. The original rosters have Mauer in the final year of his contract, thus making the trade you made decently fair. But the OS rosters have him to a much longer contract, which would make your trade not really a good one for them.

It was V 1.0 OS rosters. But it was in year 2 so Ackley, and Moore both progressed and are now somewhat beasts. And I believe Liriano was in AAA for some reason at the time of the trade.
