I went ahead and pulled the trigger sending Kerry Wood and Jhonny Peralta to the O's for Ty Wiggington.

not a bad trade but i would have tried to get a young reliever from them along with wigginton but its not a bad deal

How do I set it up where I control all 30 teams and still have them trade with each other and I can choose to decline or accept?

When you start your franchise, select all teams to control. Then set every team but the one you want to control to the Global setting.

Make sure in your global settings everything is set to cpu or auto.

Now you will be able to control your own team day to day, and be able to jump in as needed with all the others.

*** make sure you set the trades to where they are considered for a couple of days. NOT instant trades.

Every day when I'm simming, I check the "pending tranactions". It takes about 2 seconds to scan through the whole league. If a trade is proposed, swith control to the team involved and you can accept or reject the trade.

I really really like this feature. It's the best of both worlds in my opinion.

Have you ever seen a trade proposed get rejected by the CPU? This has been a point of curiosity for me. People that play 30 team control are always saying how bad the trades are, and people playing 1 team control seem to be ok with them. So my theory is that the CPU makes trade proposals and the other CPU can turn them down. I have no way to prove this though. Perhaps someone with 30 team control can try it out and see if the CPU ever rejects trade offers that are in the pending transaction tab.

It's June 24th in my Red Sox franchise in 2nd place 5 game behind the Evil Empire. Offensively my entire team is doing well except for J.D. Drew. I'm looking to add a right fielder since I can't hit with Drew and have never really liked him anyways. I'd like someone with a strong arm and good power.

Right now I'm looking at Jose Guillen and Jeff Franceour, but I'm not sure who I'd have to/should give up. Any advice would be great.

in my franchise i'm currently 12 GB in the NL east with the mets at the end of may, and i know it's early but i think i need to blow things up. i'm losing many close games, but i just don't think i can make it back in the race, and i have some big trade chips on my team that i could get some value for. i already traded reyes and hisanori takahashi to the angels for erick aybar, jordan walden, and hank conger, and was still planning on trying to compete, but ike davis is gone for the season and i just lost jason bay for a month in my last game, and i just think it's time to give up. which leads me to my proposed trade(s).
i was looking through contender's teams, and the rays intrigue me, because upton is lost for the season(after hitting .208 beforehand), and sean rodriguez is gone for a month(after hitting .231). carlos beltran for me has a .337/5/24 line, and luis castillo is hitting .350, so i was thinking of, in 2 separate trades, completing a deal like:
mets trade carlos beltran and luis castillo to the rays for jeremy hellickson, desmond jennings, reid brignac, and alex moore(i'd trade castillo for moore in a separate trade to get the extra prospect in the deal, both deals are full bar interest).
should i pull the trigger and begin the rebuilding process?

I honestly don't think the mets have an old enough team to begin rebuilding.
Why don't you try get a big player and get back in the hunt?

i'm gonna be honest. i'm really antsy so start the offseason and leave my personal mark on the mets, and i play every game, so i feel like playing a month's worth of games without bay would leave me pretty horribly, so i'm weighing continuing to play and attempt to bring myself up, or trading beltran and castillo for some big prospects and going into free agency with a TON of cash to spend. i'm gonna play some more games and take it day by day for now, or maybe i'll make another franchise just to sim and get an offseason out of my system, even if it's not my real offseason haha. thank you guys for the replies

I just made a trade(something I never do I like to play authentic), and at first I thought I was getting a steal but now I look back and I might have not. I picked up Crawford, Upton, and Navarro for N. Johnson, J. Montero, and R. Winn. Montero is a big loss as he has an A potential and I would of most likely signed Crawford in the offseason. I just hate N. Johnson and Winn is expandable. What do you guys think? I don't know if Ill be able to sign Crawford and Upton, and I most likely will have to let Navarro walk. Any input is appreciated.

It's a relatively good trade, I'd say...losing Montero is tough because he ends up really good at a very thin position, where your primary player is retiring soon..the only problem with it is that it is the Yankees trading with the Rays...making a huge trade like that with a division rival just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I guess.

Hey guys I was just wondering what you guys think of this trade..I'm the Phillies and even though my offense is fine I really want to add some firepower to it by adding the best player in Baseball with Albert Pujols so here is the trade.

1B Freddie Freeman(acquired from previous Braves Trade)

I'm normally the type that trades older players for prospects while keeping the big league intact...but now I'm trading top guys in the farm for top ML talent...so is this fair or cheesing its pretty much the only non Howard/Halladay deal I can get for Pujols my lineup with be awesome with him. Thoughts much appreciated!

Your call if there all A potential its fair techinally but realisticly I could never ever see the Cardinals trading Pujols. Now I would try for Adam Dunn mabye even Adrian Gonzalez two teams that dont have a chance and would love prospects ( dont have a chance in this game ) So you could do that if you want another power bat.

Are you in the first year of your franchise? If so the trade is a waste because Pujols hits free agency after the 2010 season, and you can sign him for about 20-25 mil a year, where if you trade for him in your first year then you give up your top prospect and a couple others for less than a year of him, then have to try and resign him
