I would say Hanley only because there are some really good catchers in the game that can be had for a pretty low price, whereas SS seem to be at a premium. In real life I would take Mauer. Just out of curiosity, what team are you and who are you giving up?

I couldn't work out a deal for Rollins or Emilio Benefeicio before the trade deadline for non-waivers. Guess I'll have to look for 2B help/more speed in the offseason or see if someone gets put on waivers.

No..you don't have to do anything(except the drafts...the June draft you have to "ask" the CPU which player it wants for each team you control by hitting the square button....the CPU will put it's choice on top and you have to pick it....and the Rule V.....you have to do anything you think is good for each team)...
You simply put everything in GLOBAL options to AUTO....have the trade option to NOT be instant(the 3 day waiting period)...and check the pending transaction page. If you see an offer on the table for the CPU teams you don't like...decline it.

opinions needed im in my second season with my indians franchise and Gardy Sizemore will be a free agent at the end of the season. I am going to make the playoffs i feel but im thinking about trading him. Its kinda like what the Phillies are doing. Im looking to trade Sizemore for a package of high tier prospects and then trading Justin Masterson and to ather high level prospects for Prince Fielder. Let me know what you guys think.

What prospect are already in your system? Perhaps you could get Fielder for Masterson and two prospects, as opposed to having to deal Sizemore. I say this because great CF are hard to find. Other than Sizemore, Torii Hunter and Carlos Beltran are about it. I ended up drafting a potential prospect in hopes that he will some day turn out like one of them, but hoping doesn't make it a reality. If I had Sizemore, I would do whatever I could to keep him. Great CF, SS and Catchers are really hard to come by. Power hitting 1B are not so much.

Masterson and prospects for Fielder will get done. My problem is with the budget im trying to work it so that i have wiggle room after i aquire Fielder who is making 14.6 mill this year by the way. Trading Masterson will get 5 mill of the books and Sizemore is making 7 mill(very affordable i know). The amount that Sizemore will want will be sky high as he once again looks to be a MVP candidate and 40 40 man for the second consecutive season. My feeling is that his contract will eat my budget for years if i resign him so thats why im looking to move him. It will be very hard for me to mave him as i hit well with him and he is in the 3 spot in the lineup but budget wise it may help. I see what you are getting at as Michael Brantley in center doesnt sound near as good as Grady Sizemore.

Need help with a trade. I am the Mariners and offered the Marlins Strasburg and Jack Wilson for Hanley and Josh Johnson. Strasburg has been struggling for me but absolutely dealt against the Rays going 8innings and striking out 13. He is currently 1-1 with a 4 something ERA. My team is on a roll winning 5 straight games. Do you think I should make the trade or hold on to Strasburg and try to acquire another bat?

Would that trade go through? Because that's a huge pick up for you, I mean I'm not sure how good Strasburg is on this game, but Hanley Ramirez is insanely good in this game. He's got a great bat and great on D. Josh Johnson is also good in game, I'm not very familiar with the NL but I started a game with him and the Stamina was a great and his fastball was great.

Do you guys think a package of AJ Burnett, Chan Ho Park, and David Phelps would be fair for Edwin Jackson and Leo Rosales? If not, then who should I go after? I have been terribly disappointed pitching with both Burnett and Park in this game. I'm just looking for a younger-ish Starter who is on a one year deal.

I think you are losing on this trade, if I'm not mistaken AJ Burnett starts out with 4 years or somewhere around there on his contract that's a bit pricey. If anything try grabbing Edwing and Justin Upton. I think you can get a whole lot more just for AJ but that's just me.

I tried to add Upton and messed around with it a bit and no-go unless I traded Montero, which isn't gonna happen. I can get Chris Young, Edwin and a reliever for Burnett, Heathcott(AA CF) and Banuelos(AA SP). That makes me feel like I should move one of my other OFs somewhere else.

Yea I had to throw in someone else. I tried doing Jack Wilson Derek Norris and Drew Storen for Hanley but not sure if it had gone through. I would rather keep strasburg just cause his stuff is electric and to save money. Not sure how good the FA crop of pitchers is after year one though

Thinking about dropping my year 3 Colorado Rockies franchise in favor of trying out the Phillies. I really like their lineup, but I want a different catcher.

Who could I go for? I can probably afford to send some of my A potential pitchers away in favor of getting someone new in the C spot.

Gerald Lair no I'm being serious I'm A Twins fan btw but im doing a Tigers franchise Hes fast for a catcher, best defensivly (nothing ever gets passed him) Has a gun! and he is hitting .248 with me with 5 homers and 26 rbis at the break (not the best but I can live with it from the great defense) He also has layed down some crucial bunts for me

Try going for Carlos Santana. You can get him for relatively cheap. Plus he has A potential
