    Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**

Thanks guys, yeah I have Guillen and Ross. For some reason I struggle to hit with Ross even though I like him, and Guillen he is okay.

Thats my issue getting a solid bat without sacrificing my pitching to much, but as they say, to give you have to get. I have no problem giving but I don't want to part with Timmy, Cain or Bumgarner.

In my franchise, the Giants traded Henry Sosa, Ryan Rohlinger and Zack Wheeler to the Red Sox for David Ortiz. I can imagine he would give you some power and a few extra splash hits. I don't really know much about those prospects, but the cost doesn't appear to be all that much for big Papi, who is much better on the game than real life.

Wheeler is a starting pitcher with A potential, Sosa is a releiver I beleive with B potential and Rohlinger is a 3rd basemen with no upside at all really. I wouldn't mind getting Big Papi as I love him, but his fielding isn't the greatest and he is pretty old, but if I could pick him up cheap enough and before someone else beats me to it I wouldn't say no.

I seem to be going okay at the moment with Ross, Guillen and Pat Burrell has been destroying right handed pitchers lately, Although Burrell and Guillen are getting pretty old.

I agree with you on both cases for Papi, old and poor defender, but fortunately neither is an issue on the game. The age is a non-issue since he will retire long before he outlives his usefulness, and defense at first base is not much of an issue on the game either. You could even put him in the outfield with very little negative effect. It is possible that he earns a gold glove out there, lol. And like I said, the cost is really low. A potential starting pitchers are a dime a dozen on the game, B potential relievers are even more so, and a 3rd baseman with no upside goes without saying. You might also be able to pick up Adam Dunn, since he is in the final year of his contract. It all depends on what month you are in and if (when) the Nats are out of contention. For Papi, the cpu made the move in mid May even though they were well out in front of the division, so there could be some coded reason why they want to move him. It wasn't his performance, as he was batting .360 with 12 home runs at the time. Good luck

marlins rejected my trade offer of Travis Wood, Yonder Alonso and Chris Valakia for Hanley Ramirez. Loss Brandon Phillips for 2-3 months any suggestions at either 2B or SS?

              How about Brian Roberts?

Second choices: Aaron Hill, Ben Zobrist, Orlando Hudson

Third choices: Elvis Andrews, Yunel Escobar, Asdrubal Cabrera

I have no idea on any of these guy's contract status, though. You'd think the O's would have dealt Roberts a long time ago if he wasn't locked down.

*EDIT* The CPU traded Jose Reyes to the A's in my franchise for practically nothing.

I will take a look at their contracts tonight, Hanley had 5yrs remaining on his, so would like something back in return if offering quite a few prospects

Yeah I guess your right, Aubrey Huff is playing 1st at the moment and he has started really slow but is starting to pick it up a bit, but I think I'll try get Big Papi and move Huff to left or right, although I like to try have some speed in the outfield especially in centre and right field to protect good ol' triples alley as much as I can.

I agree with Reyes. That would make a nice SS/2B combo when Phillips comes back. I highly doubt you would be able to get Zobrist, as I really tried to get him but he is under contract for quite some time still. Hill might be obtainable though. The CPU was willing to trade me Gordon Beckem for Mark Ellis, but I turned it down. Oh, Mark Ellis would be a good guy to get for 2B. He is pretty cheap, in his final year, has a little bit of pop, and probably the best defensive 2nd baseman in the game today (real life anyway).

I am in the 2nd year of my braves franchise and am thinking about trying to get CarGo. looking for opinions on a realistic trade scenario This is my starting 8 and rotation

Most likely milligan would be part of the deal no matter who else because he is my starting left fielder but who knows. I pretty much have the same farm system plus some fake guys from the draft the year before. the only player I will 100% not trade is heyward. thoughts?

Cargo is a superstar at age 24 with many years of team control left. You're either gonna have to give up the farm for him or give up someone like Heyward for him. Trading an old guy like Chipper or building a package with Milligan as your centerpiece isn't going to interest the Rockies at all, if you're trying to be realistic.

He wasnt so much "ready" as I just preferred to have him up. he had decent numbers in half a year at AA and half at AAA the year before. he is hitting around .250 with a couple of homers in the first 12 or so games but for me thats ok for a 7 or 8 hitter. I didnt check his potential, but I did bump some of his ratings (I mean come on an athletic outfielder with a 38 speed?) I bumped his power just a tad and brough his contact down a couple of points.

Milligan wont really be the centerpiece so to speak, he would just be part of the deal since I wouldnt have room for him as an everyday player if I got CarGo. Like I said I wouldnt trade heyward, and chipper is the sentimental favorite not to mention one of my favorite players of all time I wouldnt even think about trading him. everyone else in the entire system is up for grabs though.

I probably wont end up doing it cause Im sucker for realism as far as star players go and I am pretty sure that carlos is now untouchable even though this is his first breakout year.
