    Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**

I am 42-42 in my Tigers franchise. I feel like I am shy a LH power hitter or a #2 starter from being a playoff team. Porcello is struggling and is by miles my best prospect, and then I have nothing after that. Do you think it's worth considering dealing him and whatever else for someone like Dunn, or a top flight SP?

I am just 2.5 GB in my division, and I want September to matter.

I may also want to sell (guys like Damon and Mags) and pick up some prospects. Are there any prospects I should look at if I do go into sell mode?

If you need left handed power that you plan to DH, I would go with Giambi. You should be able to get him easily without having to give up much in the way of prospects. I picked him up off waivers and was surprised at how good he is. He has mad power against righties, but even more against lefties. Then you could have your own little Damon Giambi reunion haha.

I traded Joey Devine for Jorge Cantu, second year with the A's in my franchise and I can't remember what team had Cantu at the moment. I traded my A potential Rookie Prospect Delwyn Nowak for some pitching prospects and I let Kevin Kouzmanoff go in the off season.

I also traded with the bay area rivals on a huge deal involving our aces our closers and a prospect. I despise Brett Anderson's in game. His windup w is very stiff and generic so I gave up Brett Anderson and Andrew Bailey for Tim Lincecum, Brian Wilson and a generated pitcher Van Kouzmanoff who's a C overall but has A potential and is only 23 in the starting line up (in mines and he started 3 games for the giants before the trade 0-3). I'm a huge fan of Brett Anderson in real life, but in game I can't deal with his windup so I went ahead spiced things up with non divisional rivalry trade .

You know you can change the pitcher's delivery rather than just trade the pitcher away. In fact, the one that Anderson starts with is wrong anyway. Did you go to Brunoce's pitch edits thread and make player changes? Speaking of Anderson, I was two outs away from getting my first no hitter with him, until Elvis Andrus bunted to break it up. I managed to plunk him 6 times in the next two games, but never did injury him.

Oh man that's tough but plunking batters is a great way to vent lol. No I haven't tried that out yet, but i hate the fact that I traded him away without giving this a try. I've always thought that editing players was an easy way out but I knew the delivery did not match his RL one. I didn't care much for Bailey because he was on a one year deal, but I hated the fact that I let Brett go so easily. The only pitchers in my line up that match the A's real life line up are Gio Gonzalez and Dallas Braden. Lincecum is way too easy to pitch with because every pitch is so developed and they all have great break.

              Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**

I made my first trade with the Tigers. I sent Damon back to the Yankees for Brett Garner, a 2B prospect named Russo (B potential) and an 18-year old SP prospect named Albers (A potential).

I wanted to move some old Vets who I don't play well with for some youth. The Tigers have quite the dirth of young talent on this game. I think I have the fewest A & B potentials under 25 or something like that. At least HAD, this added me 3. Gardner is 25, so is Russo. When you look around the league the top players on the top teams are ALL A & B potentials, which makes me question the value of my C guys.

With the trade deadline coming up, and no one outside Cabrera looking like 20 HRs I still may make a deal to bring in a 20 HR guy to make my goal. I still may not though. I don't want to make any drastic changes to my lineup right now, and I'm not interested in getting rid of prospects I just got.

Thanks, Gardner actually plays now. Russo rides the pine, but gets in spots when Guillen is tired, which is too often.

I am now 52-54 or something like that. The deadline just passed, the biggest deal was Adrian Gonzalez going to the Royals of all teams who are on a playoff push.

I am going to keep an eye on the trade waivers and see if a power hitting 3B or RF come up, but I doubt it. Those are two positions I'd love to add for 2011.

Since there is no chance Porcello will get through waivers I may have to wait until next season and move him for a vet power hitter at either 3B or RF. Porcello is an A - MLB ready 22 year old SP, but he SUCKS for me. So I think I could use him to snag some power from some cellar dweller always looking to move stars.

In my Phillies franchise, the Yankees traded Montero and some B-rated SP for Vlad Guerrero. I think it almost seems fair...then I remember it's the Yankees.....

I'm playing as the Yankees. I just traded Johnson, Golson and a prospect for Buster Posey and a prospect pitcher so I could put Posada at the DH. Which leaves me with Lance Berkman taking too much money from the team for a two year contract and I have no intention of keeping him. Any thoughts on who I should try to get?

"Help. I play as the Yankees and I have too many good players and don't know what to do with them. Any idea who I get in trade for _________? I know he is one of the best players in the game, but he is only the 12th best on my team."

What a problem to have. Why would you want to trade away Berkman anyway? You would most likely only get prospects for him and we all know the Yankees don't need prospects; they need first time free agents. It is much easier to just spend half a billion dollars and buy your championships.

Looking to possibly add a top notch free agent. Here are the available players and what they want:

                                Brandon Phillips 2B $11 mil type A
Aaron Hill 2B $5.7 mil no type
Rafael Furcal SS $12 mil type A
Jason Bartlett SS $ 8.6 mil type B
Raul Ibanez LF $7.5 mil type A (and 39 years old)
Carlos Beltran CF $14 mil type A

I am kind of leaning towards Beltran, but I also have a top CF prospect I want to bring up for next season. I have a low payroll so I should be able to afford him if I can indeed get him. Any suggestions?
