The lineup screens are not announced or cycled through like in '08(?).
They HAVE put back the batting average for the lineup screen for the players.

We haven't seen all the overlays....nor have we gotten a big chance to see the new ticker(we did see it for 2 minutes right at the start of the event on a game that was running while we were signing the NDA's....and it looked AWESOME)...but you will see on the batter walk ups now(variable).....HOME/ROAD splits and vsLHP/vsRHP splits for your franchise.
I THINK......Joe is removing the the height/weight/age from your initial walk ups and replacing it with the previous seasons avg/hr/rbi stats(I CANNOT confirm this....as it was being worked on when we were there and still not in...).
These are some of the last things put in(unfortunately).....so we don't get to see it really until ....like you guys...we get the retail version of the game.

I just saw a screen shot of the scoreboard of progressive field in the impressions thread and it looks amazon and the details of it looks like the real progressive field scoreboard spot on. Thank you SCEA and the makers of MLB 11 The Show. Progressive Field finaly looks right. Great Job.

How do schedules look in season/franchise? Are there accurate times on get away days (Thursdays/Sundays)? Do the Cubs play a lot of day games?

I didn't look specifically and it's supposed to be per MLB....but I didn't notice any 4:00 starts for the Mets...etc....so I'm not sure. Sorry.

Anyone know if there's thunder in the game when it rains?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I know franchise mode hasn't really had any changes other than trade logic but did they fix the glitch or whatever it was at the offseason where you'd only be able to make trades in January and not November and December? (you could make trades in thosemonths but not with playoff eligible players for some reason)

They are looking into it. Don't know if they'll catch it in time for release though.

Any way I can get some insight to these questions?

I want to get in in the batting stance discussion. Has Adrian Gonzalez's stance be changed to slightly-opened? I know he changed his stance slightly over the past couple of years.

Is the free agent list the same size or has it been expanded to allow SCEA default players who have been removed from the 40 man roster or released to stay on the online updates instead of being completely removed from the game?

Also, are the online roster updates still once a week?

Guys - how's the commentary looking. I understand Karros will add more depth regarding teams but has anything been added regarding play by play etc. Overall with the addition of Karros is it better than previous years in your opinions?

I don't think they added a waistband graphic.

Sorry Scoot....it' remained largely unchanged for this year. I passed on some of your request to the LEAD artist.

Seems like that was most of the questions that were being ask and answered; Stances and Stadiums. I posted a couple of game play questions that bothered me in MLB10, but I didn't see them answered.

Asked if the SS or 2nd Baseman rotate mechanically anymore
Do you have more diving control with the outfielders, seems that unless the CPU dove automatically you were sure to miss the ball.

A lot of the animations were redone...but I'm not sure. Nem said dives were better on the whole

It's still astonishing that the whole Team involved has answered/reported and FIXED so many of those questions. So let me enlighten you guys with major gameplay questions and some atmosphere/presentation questions

1- Will Full Player on Player Collision take part this year ?
No. I don't think ever.
2- Will Flyouts animation still feel a little magnetic/robotic when under the ball?
You will get to the animation point at a certain time when you get into range.

3- Will wind/mph & direction serve better usage when trying to get underneath a flyball?
This was in.....and it could get dicey.

4- Will both the Jump & Diving one button setting be able to save into your profile?
Don't know. Sorry

5- Do we have 100% full control of baserunner slides, instead of Auto or Assist?
No.
6- Using Analog Controls, Do cutoff throws feel natual?
Did they feel unnatural before? I didn't feel that way. The new analog throwing should be interesting.

7- Have any Sliders Hum/AI/Global been tweaked?
Yes...to what extent...I don't know specifically...but Brian did revisit some sliders.
8- Are there any new Sliders added to the existing ones?
No new sliders....BUT...MANAGER HOOK...SP STAMINA...and RP STAMINA are now also tied into simmed games. You will be able to control the pitching stats and appearances in your franchise as you see fit.
9- What were your favorite Camera Settings. Pitching/Batting & Fielding?
I like Broadcast...EVEN for fielding.
10- Has crowd chants, noise audio been increased for rivalries or playoffs?
We talked about this and we were hoping this would be ramped up more than it is. We've stressed it to them...so we'll see.

11- Do we see the whole outside/Ariels of stadium before game starts or ends?
I don't think so
12- Are there any new fan interactions?
No...but some new cutscenes.

13- After hitting a Homer, are the HR distance markers accurate?
They weren't?....
14- Are there new celebrations for milestones? (WorldSeries, Nohitter Etc)
Not sure....this would take a while to get to(milestone stuff)...but I'm sorry to say W.S. celebration is the same.
15- Has BeanBalling a player been tweaked so the Ump will throw you out quicker?
I don't think this was changed.

Rags asked about Adrian's stance, yes it is more open from what I can tell. And the man is a BEAST.

It was funny, I went to Lorne to have him change Adrian's number to 28 the next day, because the day before it was 23, and he (Adrian) was up on his screen and changed when walked in his office.

The Red Sox just got back to them that very morning with the player numbers. Pretty neat story I thought I would share.

Very good point. I can't remember which game it was, but one of them you could tap a button to run faster to first. As it turns out, you end up tapping that button every single time you run to first. Since that is the case, why not make the default just running as fast as possible to first?

...

A few of the older games were set up that way and unfortunately, I still subconsciously do it in The Show, even tho I know its not a function LOL.

i know the mets have 3 or 4, 4pm games the first month, so if in fact they are able to match up with real MLB start times.
the Met games should have some nice variety that first month.
Also the yanks opener is a 4pm game.,

Thats GOTTA look sweet as it rolls to 7pm
