Wonder if they will ever fix the getting massive points for breaking same record bug. I tried it out and my guy is maxed out in ratings with 9999 points at age 20.

Maybe they should change it up, after you've established yourself, you have to keep working at it otherwise you'll lose your "abilities".JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just break any record, I would break the hitting streak record (in the majors not minors). Once you break the record you get 2k points then after the game change your last name and break the record again the next game and you'll get 2k points again. The game thinks you're a different person when you change your last name. Then just keep doing it until you max everything and have 9999 points.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Question, in MLB 2010 it was hard to steal, is it as hard in MLB 11 in RTTS? Scenario, made a Rickey Henderson type, I had a maxed out SPD/BR ABL player trying to steal 2nd vs Wakefield. Got a perfect jump, tossed out by a scrub catcher. Still the same thing? Even with maxed speed sliders and minimum throw strength sliders it was the same. With a maxed speed guy I should be able to steal at will.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Wow...what happened to the zoom cam when baserunning. I can't see the pitcher's foot well enough to get a decent jump. I have to change sliders when I get on base and want to steal, don't wanna do that though. Even with Maxed base running ability and frequency sliders I can't hardly get a good jump, usually OK and bad. I miss that zoom cam horribly. At least the catchers super arms are gone from MLB 10.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Coles Notes Below>>>
Got the game a week ago and I am full on addicted.
Started a career with a RF I have the hitting setting favoring power but not all the way, and his focus on defense is his arm.
Entered the draft and was drafted by the Indians. Wasn't happy about that because Chin So Cho is in RF for Cle.Anyway, in double-A it took me a while to become a everyday starter, but by the end of the year I was batting 4th hit 18 HRs and batted like .311. The team made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs where we got swept by the Mets AA affiliate.
In the offseason I was offered 1 year @ 184K, and was able to negotiate to a 4 year/900K (225K/year) contract and was promoted to AAA. I figured it'd take me a year to get out of AAA and then I'd spend 3 years in the majors. Then I'd be up for free agency to sign elsewhere...I wasn't sure if that's how MLB service exactly works but I think I heard a player must have 3 years MLB experince before they become a full-fleged FA. Figured I'd roll with that.
In AAA my batting average took a dip but my power was there: .287avg .804 OPS, 24HRs (2nd in AAA) and 99 RBI (1st in AAA). Dispite that I didn't get a September call-up?! Maybe my 24BB/99Ks has something to do with it lol? The Clippers (Clev AAA aff) finished with 92 wins and was about to take on the Paw Sox in the first round of the playoffs....then I got traded to the Brewers.
The Brewers AAA team finished dead last, and again I got no Sept call-up. I was pissed at first because I really wanted to win that Minor League Championship (lame I know), but when I looked at the Brewers roster I changed my tune. They still have Braun and Prince. They still have Jon Axford, and added DAVID PRICE. Better yet RF isn't crowded. They don't have Cory Hart anymore and instead have Brennan Bosche (sp?); so there's a legit chance I can be the starter by year end with some hard work. I've played a few pre-season games and I am getting eaten alive by MLB pitching. I'm batting .092 and it's embarassing. I just hope they don't send me back to AAA after Spring Training is over.
>>> Drafted by the Indians and wasn't too pleased since I'm playing behind Chin So Choo (the Indians best everyday player), but at least the rest of the orgs RFs were thin. At the end of 2 successful years in the minors got traded to the Brew Crew. Now I'm playing for a better team with less depth in my position. I love this game!!Last edited by aa2ba; 10-01-2011, 08:19 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I made a new shortstop for the Boston Red Sox and turned off Guess Pitch for the first time and it was not a bad idea, already have 16 homeruns in AA in the middle of August and was even invited to the Future's game where I went 0-4 but we won either way.Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I am so pissed at my offence... I recently created a Pitcher and i pitch for the Flying squirrels. On my first start i went 6 inning allowing 2 runs and got the loss.. On my SECOND start i took a no hitter to the 10th inning.. yes the 10TH INNING. my offence gave me zero run support and i ended up giving a one out hit and finally got removed from the game.. I took a no decision. I pitch on All-star btw..Comment

Thinking of creating a pitcher myself. What pitches do you use?Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just picked up The Show 11 a few weeks ago. I had been playing 10 over the summer..
I'm a franchise guy, but I haven't even started a franchise yet, I went straight for RTTS. Created a 2B that can also play OF. Worked my way through the Tigers AA and AAA team before being traded to Toronto...told my Fiance "pack your bags, we're moving, I've been traded" to which she just rolled her eyes.
Anyway, Toronto trades Aaron Hill, then tells me I've been promoted to The Show. It's mid August and The Jays are well out of the pennant race.
I seriously felt like a real player (within reason) being in AWE of the difference in stadiums and atmosphere. The Rogers Centre looks amazing, and there are hardly ANY people in the stands. Then I go on a road trip to Boston, the stands are packed and it's loud. Freaking Awesome Game.JUUUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDEComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
This game pisses me off sometimes.. I'm in the playoffs with the braves and have full pitches on meaning I watch every at bat and every pitch which makes the game take a while. I only do this for the postseason.
Anyway the reds score 4 runs through 7 innings all on solo homeruns. My braves manage to score 2 runs so far and finally in the 8th I show up and hit a solo homer batting clean-up with heyward behind me tying it up with his own homer. So we hit back to back homers to tie this sucker up.
So what does the stupid game decide to do? It decides to ****ing freeze in the 9th inning wasting around 40mins and almost causing me to break the controller. This bull**** always seems to happen right at the end forcing me to start over and play in classic mode. This game was turning out to be ****, what a piece of ****.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Hey guys, quick question.
My manager is notorious for pulling me WAY too quickly in games. I could be in the 7th inning pitching a 2-hit shut out with 115 pitches and if someone singles they pull me instantly (and often times we lose because our bullpen sucks). How can I keep myself in longer?Comment
