For an AL-team who can DH him, yes I think there's still some value for him. The Indians come to mind although I can't imagine they taking on his contract if we're talking realism. Like you said, if you're a bot open on the realism part, you could try the Tribe and get Chisenhall for 3B and LaPorta at 1B/LF. I think LaPorta really has worn out his welcome in Cleveland with the signing of Kotchman this off-season and Santana getting some games there as well. Only roadblock for the deal would be Hafner in the DH spot but the Indians could always put A-Rod at 3B to replace Hannahan/Chisenhall.

I'm the braves. What do you guys think about trying to bring in Colby Rasmus from Toronto to take over left next year so I can bring Prado over to third after chipper retires. I just can't get anything goin with contanza and I don't feel like he's the man for the job in left. I want to give both Edward Salcedo and Brandon Drury another year or two to develop before one of them gets the call up. Would this be a reasonable move?

If you're going Yankees, ask for for minimum Betances/Buellos and either Brown or Hughes. Although I do prefer the braves trade someone suggested more, however that wouldn't be very realistic. You could probably get Teheran/Minor/Delgado. Although if I were you I'd get a young, high quality bat.

Anyone tried trading Chase Utley? What can you get for him? I think I'm ready to move on with a bit more youth and durability. Suggestions?

Absolutely. I'm one of those people that think the Jays will sour on Rasmus and his lack of production since they have so much talent in the OF anyway.

What are you willing to offer up?

Well I'm not by my ps3 right now so I'm not exactly sure what's left on Colby's contract. I will only be bringing him in to give Edward or Brandon more time to develop. Unless Colby proves to be a stud for me I don't have plans on keeping him. But I don't think he's worth any of my top starters either. I'm thinking about seeing if they will take 2 C's or maybe a B and a C for him. What do you think I will have to give up for him?

Best case scenario, you get a top prospect in return while dumping his salary

At work myself so I can't see the contract either but if I remember correctly he's a B overall and B potential. A B prospect and C prospect might do the trick. If you take on another old guy with a larger contract from the Jays as well, they might be more inclined to make the move.

Let us know how it works out because I'm aiming for Rasmus in my upcoming 'chise as well

My wife and I just had our second baby so I haven't started up my 'chise yet but I will this weekend. Leaning either Giants or Pirates...
