        2 A's is a little high, I would look for 1 A, possibly 2 bullpen C's altogether

I have a younger prospect that I'm ready to being up to the majors. He has 80 Fielding and 99 speed, so unfortunately Altuve becomes the less desired guy.

        Altuve's stat line:
        2015 - .243 avg, 9 HR, 61 RBI
        2014 - .260 avg, 9 HR, 65 RBI
        2013 - .283 avg, 17 HR, 69 RBI

Altuve is 25 years old, so he has a long future in this league yet. Has 4 years and $23m left on his contract. I'd really like to acquire some RP's for him as my bullpen is terrible.

What do you guys think would be a fair return? I was thinking maybe 2 A's and 1B Prospect relievers?

like I said back on point.....As much as I try I can't find a realistic trade to suit my wants for my Det franchise. I may have to sacrifice realism for negative fairness by giving up more than I should to get the calibre of player I want. Advice is needed!!!! First option is for someone with a little more self discipline than I have to try and talk me out of it......lol. anyway I hate the idea of playing with peralta as my ss, but with the understanding no teams would probably trade a top ss prospect, I am asking for possible formulas to balance out the lack of realism for one of the top ss prospects out there. I would begin by including Castellanos who ranks close to any of these guys yet I know has a lower ceiling than any of them. So what else should I add with Castellanos for any of the following.....Lindor, Baez, Bogaerts. (Baez maybe mostly as he is potentially blocked??) Or do I get blasted in this thread for even mentioning such a concept? :/

Baez is not exactly blocked unless they continue to develop him at SS, as 3B is wide open in Chicago for Baez. Lindor, impressive glove, maybe some work to do on hitting. Boggarts, nice power, might end up at third. Out of the three, I would say Baez has the most potential, even though I am a biased Cubs fan.

IDK if Detroit has the prospects to trade for a great SS without giving up a key piece to their team.

Funny how you responded after I just spent over an hour reading a long thread comparing Baez and Castellanos weighing heavily from a Cubs fans point of few....even as a Tigers fan I have to admit that they were pretty accurate with info tho as I wouldn't trade Baez straight up for Cast either....so as a Cubs fan, what else would I have to give you for you to consider?

(And I did say potentially blocked....I don't follow him too closely but do understand he is pretty smooth glove so figured he could adapt to a move well)

Which key part of my team are you referring to....lol. I know I don't have the prospects, I also know I don't "want" to give up a key piece. Thats why I need an outside perspective to keep me "honest".

I don't think I'd make a move as Detroit in season 1. Peralta is more then serviceable. He's certainly not the worst starting SS in the league. He'll hit around 7-10 HR's, and be a solid hitter. Not the greatest defensively, but he'll stop most balls coming his way.

Sometimes this is what it takes.....I battled with the voice in my head for a while now and finally blocked that voice out, then you step up and make the same logical suggestions the voice was making.

We don't. We use "high, mid, and low" to seperate the grade levels here. For example, Jurickson Profar is a high A, and Mike Olt is a low A, Jurickson is better by far, but Olt still has good potential. So, to seperate them, we enforced "three-level grading system" to tell apart the "really good" and "not as good" potentials for each grade letter...
