Re: What are your expectations for Generated Counts
Even though I really don't mind playing every pitch because that's just what I do and I don't sim, I'm very intrigued by the generated counts and I might even considering using it when my pitcher is on the mound, mainly to get more realistic pitch counts and strike to ball ratios.
I'm sure games will be shorter however they could still be quite long. Just because you start an at-bat with a 3-2 for example, you could still end up having to throw 3,4,5,6 etc. more pitches.Comment

Does this mean I'll see the Clayton Richard special and every count will be 2-1/3-2?Comment

Originally posted by nemesis04I think in his sentence the "and" should have been an "or". I believe he was just stating that there will be some sort of count and that you will never start off 0-0. Theoretically you could start off 3-0, 0-2, etc.
BTW... Was there no second CD this year or is it yet to come?Comment

Re: What are your expectations for Generated Counts
I LOVE this game, but haven't played it much for the past couple years because I end up "thinking" about EVERY pitch I throw as my pitchers and take / swing at as my hitters...
As a result, my games play out pretty close to "real time", which makes it impossible to play through a few seasons playing the entire games that my 5th starter (for instance) starts...
Usually about 30 a season...90 to 150 total, to play 3-5 "seasons"...
SO:
IF I understand this feature correctly, it will mean I'm throwing or taking / swinging at about 150 pitches per game as opposed to 300 or so...
Is that right-ish?
If that's the case, then my played games would take an hour to an hour and a half, as opposed to three hours or so...
Do these assumptions I've made, make sense?
Thanks!Last edited by KingV2k3; 01-26-2014, 06:56 PM.Comment

You will DEFINITELY be able to get through series in the time it took you to complete games(maybe even quicker).
Multiple seasons will be a breeze for everyone using generated counts.

It might even be possible to be able to wrap a nine frame game up in as little as 40 minutes, for those with minimum time.Comment
