There's no reason for me to get a PS4 yet, as I still really enjoy a lot of stuff on PS3. So the current gen version will work for me (I get the game every two years). However, I think I'll be getting a PS4 around October and get NBA 2k15. I do plan on having a PS4 for next year's Show release though (gotta have the game where Cincinnati has the All Star game).

I get that. Honestly I'm not bashing the people that want to keep their PS3s, but the reality is these systems have truly run their courses and will be obsolete in the next 2 years. If people did in fact have the money there would be no hesitation in an upgrade in systems. It's easier to make excuses and say I love my PS3 and will wait years for the PS4 regardless how amazing it is- then to actually just admit they don't have the cash flow. I feel 100% when people see the difference of power, graphics, and details...that they will sell their own wives and girlfriends to try and get one of these amazing systems. Luckily I have two PS4s in my house just in case one goes...one is in my 9 year olds room and he plays that Starving game.....and the other in my man cave waiting for baseball glory.

Agree with you but I don't think the PS3 will be obsolete in two years because of the games they will continue to make for it. I think the show has at least 3 or 4 more iterations on PS3. I mean they only stopped making PS2 versions a few years ago.

However, if you know anything about technology and computers (a console is more or less a computer in a fancy box) the technology inside the PS3 already is obsolete.

For most of us Mommy and Daddy don't pay for everything anymore. It's not that we can't afford it, there are other things to spend $400 on then a video game system that has only been out for 4 months.

I found this rather amusing. Open mouth and insert foot. I am a 41 year old male that actually has a good job, and I'm able to make purchases like this. I'm not hear to argue or criticize. I'm just sick of the excuses and know the reality of why people aren't switching. Just wish they would just admit it and say- Hey I don't have the cash, but I will save up and get one instead of making excuses why they don't feel the need to buy one. The PS4 is far superior to anything out there. But to each their own. Argument/ Disagreement over. Move on.

Both. You want cutting edge you need a CPU and be willing and able to update the machine as needed. PS4 tech can hardly be called cutting edge tech better than the 3 but not a gaming computer.

I'm glad you know the reality of everyone's situation. Pretty sure a majority of us can afford to buy multiple PS4's/Xbox One's if we wanted to. That doesn't mean we have to do it. I'm glad you are enjoying your PS4, but don't act all high and mighty and belittle people by saying that the only reason they aren't buying a PS4 is because of their bank account, when that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Don't forget that those of us who play use the OSFM every year have to wait another month. We are talking a mid-June start for the franchise. LOL. May as well just wait completely until 2015 at that point (unless the rosters they make can carry over from PS3 to PS4, with no limitations).

This is a disagreement and a debate between those that love the PS3 and those who know the reality with a PS4 ...A disagreement that even you were a part of.
