Sure, but some people's expectations are ridiculously outrageous and screenshots have NEVER done this game justice. Also this is an early build with the old lighting (before the code was cracked). We are still 3 months from a finished product..................people don't get that, but it's the same story every year with the same people involved. It's sad.

Re: Who will stick with the PS3 version instead of getting the PS4 version?

Some very cool new features for sure for both versions.

Well......I am in for 14 on the PS3. And the real reason for that is:

      Cross platform saving.

Truly a huge big deal. The fact I will be able to begin a 2014 Yankees Franchise with the OSFM and then in 2015 when I do go to the PS4 carry that same franchise and roster over to my shiny new PS4 2015 version of The Show (which to me will be even sicker than this years version) is truly awesome.

Roster transfers? Amazing news. So if some classic rosters are created for 14 (undoubtly I am sure there will some created at some point). Same thing.....it will make roster making amazing as we can carry over rosters now year to year and franchise year to year.

And as always I am sure SCEA have tweaked the PS3 version yet again and will push the processer to it's limit.

      April 1st.......the countdown has begun.
      Now Playing on PS5:
      CFB 26 Hurricanes/Fresno State Year 2
      MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1
MLB The Show 25 1985 Yankees Year 1

I'm sticking with the PS3 for another year because I can't afford the PS4 yet.

            PS3 for me.

I'm still playing MLB 12. I usually wait a year or buy the previous year version of the game and get it for $15-20. After seeing MLB 13 and seeing that they had the World Series trophy Presentation etc. I will be getting 13 in the next hour or so. I don't think MLB 14 will be that much more innovative than 13. However, I just bought 12 in May of 2013.

Sports titles are not that deep on next gen for me. Without a college football game on next gen makes the PS4 a no buy for me. I still enjoy playing the Show, Madden 25 (decent game), NBA 2K14 (my first 2k game), NCAA Football 14, and fight night champion. All are solid games on current gen.

Same here. I do think they will end up doing the upgrade discount. If not, no sense in paying $120 for one game.

                PS3 for me also

Wasn't planning on getting a ps4 until sometime next year anyways. Looking forward to the game in April, actually looking forward to anything that has to do with spring, summer or warm weather after the winter we ( and alot of us ) have endured this year.

For now I will keep playing MLB 13 and try to finish up my season in NHL 14 and another season in my madden 25 franchise.

I would have like to see a poll attached to this thread, let's face it the baseball is all about the "stats", is it not?

                  That being said:

I'm sticking with my PS3 for another year or so...

I didn't buy it until 2010, not for financial reasons, but because it seems to take a few releases to get the most out of the newest platform...

When The Show / NBA2k / Madden are ALL undeniably better on PS4, I'm ALL in...

Re: Who will stick with the PS3 version instead of getting the PS4 version?

I might hold onto the PS3 this year. I still haven't even opened Gran Turismo 6 or Ratchet & Clank. This spring is kicking my butt; I might as well save up money.

Remote Play is still the primary reason for me to get a PS4 at this moment in time. With The Show not coming out until May, I don't know... I just don't need it right now.

This might change when it actually releases or if there's a killer bundle deal, but Black Friday might look like a good time for me to get it. Or Christmas. Or next summer.

I didn't get a PS4 until summer 2008, and even then I held off until MLB '09: The Show. It is what it is.

Re: Who will stick with the PS3 version instead of getting the PS4 version?

I won't be getting the PS4 version this year. Part of this is because of the delay in MLB14 for the PS4. But a bigger reason is I just have too many more important priorities to be spending my money on this year. I race Karts in the real world which is not cheap and recently my garage door opener has been malfunctioning and I might need to replace the entire door with the opener.

However I am on the fence in terms of picking up MLB14 for the PS3 or should I play another year with MLB13. If MLB14 for the PS3 was coming out in early March, it would have been a no brainer. But with it coming out in April I am leaning towards just not buying the game this year and then jumping into the PS4 deep end next year when (knock on wood) there are not these delays in the release of the game.

If Gamestop offers the same kind of upgrade plan that they did for launch titles I'd be willing to buy the PS3 version, but if there is no upgrade program I'll just have to wait it out until the PS4 version in May. As much as I love The Show, there's not a chance I'm spending $120 on it in one year.

I already told you two games I haven't started (and won't be able to for two months). I still have yet to finish Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us, and a bunch of Vita games as well.

Some of us don't have enough time for gaming on a seasonal basis. This is one of those seasons that I just can't get my work ahead of me to actually play something.

Simply, I don't need a PS4. It's not about "regretting it," I just don't need it. I already play The Show 80% of the time on my Vita. I'll get it when I need it. So far, it's not yet justifiable. If I were to get any games on it, currently The Show would be the only one. Watch Dogs has really been upsetting/concerning me lately.

I wasn't ever ready for next-gen to be so soon. I'm still not. Just not that eager about it. There will be games that get me eager about it (new Uncharted, etc). Until then, I'm very satisfied... and backlogged.

Re: Who will stick with the PS3 version instead of getting the PS4 version?

I would love to get a PS4 w/ the Show, BUT I am finding it hard to justify the need right now.

Both PS3 and PS4 versions are identical in regards to the features. The only difference are the graphics. Graphics are nice...but I have always been impressed with The Shows graphics already...Its a beautiful game-I am sure it would be even better on ps4. But I can wait another year or so until SCEA masters the new console.

One thing that stood out to me was that during the interview, they said that the PS4 version "will have every feature that the PS3 version has".

To me, I thought that sounded a little strange...it should have been said the other way around and I got the impression that the PS4 version is playing "catch-up" to the PS3 version. Understandable, of course, its a new system. Hence the reason for the two seperate dates.

PLUS....my biggest reason for not buying the PS4 are my kids. I am trying to teach them the value of money. My oldest son wants a new computer because his friends has these lightning fast alienware computers and he doesn't. (things never change, do they???). Well, I told him that if he wants a new computer that he needs to start saving up for it himself. It's a big expense. So, with that being said.....how would it look to my son if Dad comes home with a brand-new PS4 when the PS3 is perfectly fine??

First, so much for trying to set a good example about money and second, it would probably end up with me buying my son that expensive computer...

So, back to the subject....I will wait for the PS4 version until, hopefully, next year....or when my son finally saves up enough $.
