it's weird, but it seems to a few people on the forums, that the ps3 version has become mlb2k, and the ps4 version is the only version of the Show.

Its the same company, the same game. Why are some getting so protective of the next gen version? Making it sound like MLB The Show 14 ps3 is the enemy now. lol


As far as the news today. good start for the hype train.

Lil sad that its not coming out till april 1st.
Buuuut with no 2k, they can now freely use the extra month to work on it.

Looking forward to ps3 news regarding franchise and trubroadcast 3.0
and i cant wait to see the new UI!

Could a ps3 Show14 with SOTS and a ps4 Show14 without make that divide seem even more real? MLB The Show, the game so great it can compete with itself.

Yeah right. The reason why you are exited about The Show on the 4 is because of what it was/is on the 3. If I spent 400 bucks and got the delayed info today I might go into defend my purchase mode too though. JK. The PS4 does play movies doesn't it? So it's not a total loss.

Same thing I've been saying. People are jumping to conclusions on an "early" build. Still 3 months out from a final product.............................but as you i know people are going to act this way regardless and not everyone will be happy. Same movie over and over.

Well I don't have a PS4 yet but I will be sticking with the PS3 version for now because of FREE online play. I refuse to pay for a system, pay for a game, pay for internet and pay to play the game I just bought online. Makes ZERO sense to me. Thank goodness Nintendo hasn't taken this horrible strategy. Yeah, Nintendo's online is not as good as Playstation or Xbox but it still works and games like Call of Duty Black Ghosts plays pretty much the same on Wii U as it does on PS4. Since 14 introduces online Franchise, it looks like I will be playing online a lot more than I used to. PS3 version for me.

I will stick with PS3 this year. The early adopters can work out the bugs of the first-run PS4 titles and I'll upgrade next year.

At least that's what I tell myself until I can convince my wife to let me buy a PS4. My PS3 (old fat one) is on the fritz, but because there's no backwards compatability she wants to buy another PS3 to avoid buying new games for the kids. Ugh.

Convince your wife?? I'm confused. Is she the one that works? Do you not have a job? If she is the breadwinner and you take care of the kids, I can understand but if you make your own money, you can buy whatever you damn well please. As long as you aren't in money trouble and can afford it, having to ask permission or convincing your wife to buy something you want with YOUR money makes no sense.

I think and hope people will work extra hard to get the PS4 version. It's going to be worth it. In a few years this game is beyond amazing. This is just the first year and it looks like a lot is being done to make it next gen. Do your 1080p TVs a favor and give them something to love for the baseball season.

I won't be sticking with the PS3, but I plan on working on OSFM this year again so I guess I'll get my hands on the PS3 version somehow. Even if I have to do everything on paper and then just rent the game, I might do that.

If Sony offers the upgrade to PS4 it won't matter, I'll get the PS3 version then upgrade for $10.

there are definitely other issues. Waiting for any unforeseen PS4 bugs...plus the inability to upload USB is bothersome.

That being said...I am probably going to get the PS4 with the Show...outside chance I might get both because I may not be able to wait for the Show. The Show is usually out by early March so waiting a month for the current ten version is a long time let alone for the next ten

My wife bought me a PS4 for Christmas so I will be buying both PS3 and PS4 copies.
