He's a two pitch guy (Cutter/Slider). You can make his third pitch a 4FB I guess. Watched him today. His cutter was 91-96. Just getting his velocity back. 93 mph would probably be sufficient.

    http://www.fangraphs.com/pitchfx.asp...ion=P#velocity

In addition, if this guy doesn't have a maxed out K/9 meter than no one deserves it. Major League record 16 K's/9 last year. Almost two an inning!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know why you say he's a two-pitch guy when he certainly uses that fastball. Take a look at the percentages shown in your link.

You're right. He's technically not a two pitch guy by the numbers(which weren't updated from his game yesterday when I checked). He has a natural cut in his fastball and when he doesn't get around the ball, you have a four seam fastball as evidence by his 5% this year (which if you do the math is only three times this year). One of those was in fact a HR to Cameron Maybin in the opener. So when I made that comment, I was going by what I was seeing, not the numbers.

Regardless, they still have his repertoire from when he was a rookie in 2010 just learning how to pitch.

      Should look like this:

      1- Cutter (93)
      2- Slider (81)
      3- 4FB (94)

And if his K/9 isn't maxed out, he will not be as effective in the game as he is in real life.

I'm curious when this will be worked in with the OSFM roster file. Anyone have an idea? I was wanting to wait for this roster file until I start my franchise.

I think last year the first one I saw that had everything in it was in late May.

I'm waiting for more 2012 data, at least one more start by each pitcher, which is perfect since we have to wait for v2 anyway. Once that happens i'll start v3, shooting for the beginning of May, maybe earlier but it really depends on v2

Thanks for the update. It's nice just kind of having a timetable, so I can decide if I want to start or not.

What I've been hearing is that v2 will be out in a week, if that's the case, I can get v3 out by the end of April, maybe a couple days before.

Well, I'll probably wait at least until the patch comes out. So if that comes out late April, there's no reason I can't wait a few more days until the pitch edit set hits.

As much as Knight's original roster improves the game, the authenticity is taken to new heights with the pitch edits.

Thanks for all your contributions seanjeezy. I'm looking forward to it!

If we're just looking for a certain teams pitch edits, is there any way to post them individually? I'm downloading the patch tomorrow and have my rosters ready other than pitch edits. I realize I can update these at any time, but figured I'd see if you'd be able to post me team specific information as I only am looking to update my team. Thanks in advance

I wish there was a way to analyze the gif frame by frame because the more I stare at it, the more I convince myself that I can see the "OK" symbol that is typical of circle change grips, but enough about felix, can't have this thread be all about him as much as I would like it to be
That pitch acted like a Splitter. Does anyone know how Felix grips his "changeup"? He may actually throw a split finger fastball, especially if the pitch is clocked in the low 90's, with late down and in action to a RH hitter.

“Last year at the end of the year, [Jason] Isringhausen, taught me the knuckle-curveball. It worked really well for me. I didn’t have a good feel for it at the end of the year, but it was a good speed change. So this year, the focus was coming in throwing it for first pitch strikes and then being able to bury it ahead in the count with two strikes.”

Danny Duffy of the Royals needs hit fastball velocity upped. In the game it is rated at 92 mph. This year his average velocity is at 95 and I'm watching him right now and he is easily hitting 97 to 99 and the slowest fastball he has thrown so far is at 96. He just struck out Cano on a 99 mph fastball.
