Oh my bad. I thought you were switching around the contact and power sliders for both Human and CPU.

I can see how lowering the CPU's sliders help your pitching staff especially if your rotation doesn't have atleast 1-2 guy's that are solid. Classic style pitching kinda makes it more difficult aswell so I can see how that would benefit your Colorado team.

Besides as you get better you can always reverese them back the opposite way.

I've actually switched things around since I control two teams Texas and Washington. I use the base setup sliders I posted for CPU Batting when I use Washington 6/12. But for Texas since my staff is kinda weaker I use the 2/18 CPU batting setup. Granted on the 2/18 setup if you make a mistake pitch then the CPU has the best chance the punish you with a homer because of the power being at 18 for them.

I finally started my regular season games Texas vs Boston all sliders are the same accept the 2/18 batting setup I showed for the CPU since I'm using Texas rotation.

I'll post stats later after the game but so far Boston managed to jump out to 2-0 lead getting 3 hits in the 1st inning off of Millwood.

I guessif you have a suspect rotation I would suggest giving that setup a test shot it mixes in very good power with alot of small ball aswell. It has nice mixture of variety. I saw in my spring tranining games and so far it's carried over into this first regular season game I'm playing.

I'm loving the 6/12 setup you have as base sliders for the cpu. Maybe I'll give the 4/16 a shot later but overall great job on everything.

Playmaker, I was wondering if having the user pitching view on "outfield" is an important part of your system. I've never pitched from that view before and I'm just wondering if I should bother changing that particular setting. I appreciate it, thanks for your effort in tweaking the game.

just a question , why did you leave auto baserunning on and assisted fielding on?

I found it to be the best pitching view for Classic style.

Assisted fielding is personal preference. I left it On becuase it helps with the hard hit's sometimes in the infield. It helps to make a few plays by your infielders instead of them missing all of them.

I like auto base running because manually isn't that great. With auto base running my guy's seem to play better on the base paths. They still go for steals on their own and sometimes they'll be agressive and then again sometimes they'll be conservative. Basically, it's a way that allow my AI teammates to make their own decisions in the game when running the bases.

I do the hitting gor them and they do their own base running. I've seen a few run downs during this game as result of the AI making their own decisions and the run down animations are SWEET!

have you ever had a baserunner hold up when he could have gotten an extra base on a hit ? i had this happen numerous times so thats why i switched to manual baserunning , i simply wasnt scoring enough then when i had the chance to take an extra base and the computer failed to do so , i had enough of letting the computer handle my baserunning needs.

yes i have made some bad running errors and have been picked off a few times, but i feel keeping the baserunning in my hands opens up the offense a little bit more. just a my 2 cents

I think when you set CPU Base Running Aggression to MAX if you play with Auto Base Running ON for your team they will be set to MAX aswell for Base running aggression.

Playmakers, I've found that there are way too many errors in the game with error frequency maxed out. The cpu doesnt really committ many errors, maybe one every 2 games, but the human(me) committs about 3 a game. Which I think is way too many. Have you been having a problem with this too?

I lowered the errors slider to 15 and that seems good to me. I wil get 0-2 errors a game. Seems realistic. With errors maxed, I saw 2 errors in the first 2 innings so I lowered it. Give it a try.

I haven't had any problems with that high a number but as the above poster stated you could lower it down to an acceptable setting for your team.

It will effect the CPU aswell so basically the lower you go down the less frequent the CPU is too committ errors.

MAXED out hasn't caused me any problems but I like it because atleast it gets the CPU to committ a few more during games just like me.

Playmakers I have been using your sliders and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. I get a variety of scores and I do not hit HR's in every game. I have about a .500 record with them. Props to you. The only thing that is a little off is the CPU pulls their starters a little to early. I know that has nothing to do with the sliders but I wish this could be fixed by SCEA in the next few roster updates. I am sure it is related to pitcher stamina.

Yeah I'm struggling to get to .500 with the Rangers 2-6 so far myself. I've been pounded several times already....

As for the pitchers I agree it's not about sliders it's something within the ratings that has these guy's leaving games early. I know a few people on the main boards have a huge thread about this so maybe I'll read more into what they are saying and see if I can figure out somethings on my own to resolve the matter.

But thanks for testing out the sliders.....

For some reason the CPU's offense has gone to sleep the last 8 games in my franchise. They struggle to score over 3 runs, any suggestions?

Also, I can't seem to hit any dingers and considering I'm the Yankees that's a problem. Through the end of April I'm last in the majors with 17 homers while the Indians lead the ML with 43 homers. Should I just jack up the power slider?
