I use assisted (manual) fielding and buttons to throw. So raising it to 10 may not be on order. Ill prob start at 3 for pitch speed and go up from there.

    Thanks for all your help.
HDMI cables run about in the neighborhood of $20. Well worth the price of admission! If you already have HD, it's a no brainer assuming you have the excess money. The Show is BEAUTIFUL!!!

You MUST get a HDMI cable to appreciate the visuals... it's cheap considering the amount of improvement you get.

          Wal-Mart.

Seriously. And with HDMI, you don't NEED to buy the most expensive. Just grab which ever one they have available.

Sears, K-Mart, Best Buy...they all should have em.

The most beautiful sports title ever made. I've seen it both ways, trust me. You won't regret it.

6th game ive played using these, 3rd shutout, this time 1-0 to Boston. 7 hits, 6 Ks, 2 BBs for my offense. 6 hits and 10 Ks for Bostons lineup.

Im beginning to believe Timing hitting is "off" on All Star level. Something is seriously amiss here.

Why don't you try a "test game" on HOF?

FWIW, I've yet to be shutout.

Granted, I use the Yankees...so take that for what it is...

But if you genuinely believe AS is broken with the Timing interface, what do you have to lose? You could always boost Contact and Timing a click on HOF...

                    Just asked my brother...

                    11 games. HOF. No shutouts.

                    He uses the Phillies.

Raised Timing +1 & Pitch speed back to 4. Last two games were much better.

I'm messing around with run speed at 3.

Let me tell you, the CPU abused me last night doing this.

At 4, I gave up 15 doubles over my last 10 games...

At 3, I gave up 11 over 2 1/2 games!!! That has to be just a coincidence.

I'll post back after I get a few more games in.

The cpu is getting more than enough doubles, I thought about lowering fielder run speed, but I figured the cpu would be smacking gappers left and right.

You can get them cheaper online, I think I paid $3 for mine. And definitely don't pay extra for "gold-plated" or any other fancy adjective.

And yes, you will see much, much beauty, in pretty much any PS3 game.

                              You figured right.

If this trend continues, I'm back to to 4.

I mainly figure its possible upside outweighs its possible downside.

That said, I need a win. I'm on a terrible slump right now. My stats are incredible, but lately; if I score 8, they score 10...if I allow 1, they hold me to 2.

                              LOL!

                              Ugh...gotta love losing streaks.

I was 2-8 in my last 10. Until I beat Detroit 6-0. Next game? 8-4 loss to those same Tigers. So I hear you on the slump.
