I just played my first game with these sliders with ZONE hitting, after using these sliders with TIMING I feel like ZONE is a tad easier. Maybe it was just a coincidence since I only played one game. The only change is i am using Analog Pitching. I'm going to give zone another go. Here are some box scores of my 4 games played.

Game w/ ZONE Hitting

Man it's STILL difficult to get hits and runs...but not difficult to "hit". I often square off the ball great and hit it hard. PAst 2 games as the Angels...I won 1-0 & lost 2-1. I've been getting around 6-8 hits per game...which Isn't great, but the runs are not there. EVER! I have moved hitting to VETERAN...solid hits to 5 for both HUMAN & CPU...and lowered pitch speed to 3.

Well...of course the game after I wrote this I had 9 hits. I won 5-4...doing a 7 game rivalry as the Angels against the mariners to see what the scores/stats etc look like. Lost game one 2-1 & won game two 5-4. I really like these angels though...aside from the obvious guys...Aybar is a #gamechanger !!!

Yes.....switched last week and results have been positive, others have switched and given positive feedback as well

Zone hitting isn't that thing where you have this visible bat icon thing that you move around is it? If so no thanks.

Could you maybe post your exact camera settings?

Like what camera you start with and how many clicks you zoom etc?

Can't post how many clicks etc.

Look at post #1 of the thread.....there is a picture of the Camera View....all I can tell you is load up the two teams and play at that stadium,.....start with CATCHER CLASSIC and zoom out, tilt, raise until you can match up certain points on the screen like batters head, score bar at the top, pick something on a building in the outfield, batters box, etc.

ZONE HITTING = Aim where the pitch is located (EX: LOW & AWAY)

Zone hitting isn't that thing where you have this visible bat icon thing that you move around is it? If so no thanks.

NO - you should not have any visible indicator on the screen at all......just swing where the pitch is like high, high and outside, low and in

Basically - you tap X to swing and use the Left Joystick to go with the pitch

I know how Zone is suppose to work...

I'm just saying I don't feel it's absolutely necessary to move the PCI while swinging... Because I'm making good/really good contact without moving it and this is with the pitches on the corners, pitches up/down in the zone and what not.

Psycho even said so himself (last year) he was using Zone without moving the PCI and got good/realistic results.

I use Zone and never move the PCI. Last game I had 17 hits and scored 9 runs with the Mariners.

I always moved the PCI until I saw what Psycho said last year about just using zone and just swinging. My hitting greatly improved after I stopped moving the PCI.

2 Question's in regards to timing or zone.....I have tried timing with guess a pitch at default....do you know if that effects anything by using guess pitch? I also am wondering on guessing a pitch with Zone as well, do you think it helps with hitting, until we get hitting down....just curious on your thoughts for guess pitch.

Do not use guess pitch......If you are thinking Fastball, gear up for the fastball and swing if it's in the zone.

Hearing a beep to signify you guessed right is the equivalent of cheating if you ask me

Move the PCI. In fact turn it on. I am telling you, if the computer starts painting the corners you are doing yourself a benefit by moving the PCI that direction to square it up and make solid contact. Also works great when you want to actually aim for a particular field.

Don't get me wrong, zone hitting is probably the hardest thing to learn to do ( minus probably zone plus analog) but once you got it and see you hit summary showing your PCI over that ball, it is really rewarding. It is YOU hitting that HR or liner and not just your timing to push a button.

The main key is turn ON the PCI, start it up high over the release point, and follow the flight of the ball. Don't even swing for awhile, just practice the movement. Once you get the hang I it it's a whole new experience!

Just lost 7 4. Great game. Down 4 2 tie it in the ninth lose it next inning.

I tried Zone batting for a few innings. Only played 3 innings with it. Turned it off to watch a TV show.

Anyway, I was the Indians against the Mariners and Felix Hernandez. I used Zone and didn't move the left stick during my at-bats. In 3 innings I scored 5 runs off Hernandez, all of them on home runs. I hit a leadoff homer with Michael Brantley, 2 homers with Travis Hafner (one was a 2-run shot), and a home run with Choo. A few other hits mixed in as well in 3 innings.

Obviously, 3 innings isn't much to go on, but I'll try it out again tomorrow for a whole game and see how I fare.

The one thing I will say though, is that the camera angle TNK recommends is definitely a keeper.
