Lost the next one 10-6. Sanchez hit a grand slam in the 11th to seal the deal. I had the 5-4 lead in the 9th but Britton blew the save giving up to runs. I tied it in the bottom of the 9th at 6 only to lose later.

Baltimore had 11 Hits 0 HR
Yankees had 15 Hits and 1 HR

    Tough loss!

Swept by the Yankees after a 3-2 loss. No bats this game only 3 hits for the O's one of which was a HR by Davis his first of the season in 5 games. Only 2 HR for the powerful O's through 5 games.

Modifiers were BR spd +1, Pi Consis -1 C, Solid Hit -1 Away (Yankees) Wind was 4. Only batting .173 and that is terrible. Not bumping anything and just going to continue moving forward the bats have to come to life soon. Hopefully. Now off to Boston!

Broke the losing streak and beat Boston 3-2. Wellington Castillo singled in the go ahead run in the top of the 9th. Britton held on for the save.

2-4 on the season now. 0 HR by either team.

Modifiers were (-1 starter stam, -1 pi cont, -1 pi cons Away - Orioles), Contact -1 Away, and Fld error +1 IF. Wind was 6. Rain game +1 Errors added all around and +1 wind as well.

Played well. I still collected 8 hits walked twice and only k'd 6 times. I thought I was sunk and that is what makes the modifiers so much more exciting by adding that little extra unknown you could say. Also this is on veteran hitting by the way. Only 2 HR in 6 games, not sure what is going on with the O's but I have a feeling something is coming!

What modifiers are you using? Same as the ones you posted in the OP?

I decided to try the Marlins with these sliders against the Braves in a exhibition game. The Braves whooped me 8 to 3. Straily was dealing the first 4 innings I had a 3 run lead and then I didn't get a single hit after the 4th inning and they couldn't stop hitting. They had 1 hit in the first 4 innings and 11 hits in the last 5. Had a couple that I felt the fielders should have gotten to but they let the ball bounce in front of them.

            Braves 8 12 0
            Marlins 3 6 1

            HR: Marlins 0 Braves 1
            2B: Marlins 1 Braves 2
            Strikeouts: Marlins 5 Braves 6
            Walks: Marlins 4 Braves 4

I started a game with the Red Sox and Sale gave up 2 HR in the first inning. I'm going to try to go back to All Star pitching for now. I'm not that good on offense to keep up with that pace.

Dropped the second of 2 games 5-3 vs. Boston. Boston had 9 hits no HR and Baltimore had 8 hits 1 HR. Gausman coughed up 4 runs in the 4th! 2-5 to start the year. I thought I would have hit better my eyes started to light up when I got the +1 contact modifier.

Modifiers were: +1 contact Home, +1 contact Away, and +1 Timing Home.

I thought they would rock me, but I held together for the most part only allowing 9 hits.

Won is Toronto to improve to 3-5. It was a good 6-5 win. I put up 5 in the first only to have Toronto tie it in the 7th I retook the lead in the 8th and Britton locked it down for the save.

Each team had 10 hits. I finally had a multi homer game with 2 HR to Toronto's 3. I had gone three straight games without giving up a HR to the CPU.

Modifiers were: +1 solid hit to Away (Orioles), -1 Reaction, -1 pitch consis. Human.

                  Great game overall!

I am now batting .205 (28th) not last surprisingly, Detroit has a .189. I am batting .255 over my last three games.
                  T-28 with 26 runs
                  last with 52 hits
                  18th in Doubles with 14
                  17th in Triple with 1
                  T-27th in HR with 5
                  T-25th in walks 22
                  T-2nd fewest K with 58

                  ERA 3.58 for 14th
                  Hits allowed 61, 3rd fewest
                  HR allowed 10, 11th
                  BB allowed 25, T-22nd
                  K's 55, last

I know it is early and I will for sure improve here, so I am not really sweating my rankings as of yet. Things will even out for me.

I plan to move the power back up to 5 at this point. I believe it is effecting the pop off the bat. I think 5 is good for solid hits and I like what I am seeing overall

I have seen that with the fielders like they are pulling up and letting it drop. I don't think it is the speed, I think it is the game. I am moving the power up for the human. I think the CPU is good where they are at but I am going to push them up as well to see if it alters anything. I have two power modifiers that I may take out now that I am moving both of them up. I thought about moving the contact but I don't think that is the issue. I think it is the power and the pop off the bat. I see your point for All-Stat pitching as well. With the power slider going up I may drop to AS pitching, but for now I will test the power at this point. Either way I am pushing on with the season because I think it is as close as I am going to get. I just want more pop off the bat and I hate to keep saying that but, it seems like the ball just doesn't come off the bat with any speed!

I agree with your changes. I think All Star would be good since we have contact higher and if we are raising power that will help balance it out. I have been playing with Armor's sliders and his is at all 5's except for foul balls which is at 3. I'm not seeing a over abundance of HR and I'm 4-2 with the Red Sox hitting .282 with I think 6-7 HR in 6 games. When you get a chance and lock down the modifiers please let me know what changes you made. I'll post my games on here. I'm thinking about starting a Marlins franchise soon. That team seems interesting to me. It's just me but I hate that stupid ugly thing they have in CF with the HR.

Well 5 is not the way to go for the CPU almost every ball hit by the CPU was a HR when I tested this in a game. Totally ridiculous! It is like 5 is too much and 4 is not enough! Oh well it will stay on 4, I will add not modifiers in to add any thing to power at this point for the CPU. I will more than likely bring back the power for the human as well to 4. I will add more modifiers for solid hits and contact.

I am going to go with All-Star, because I agree with you. The CPU appears to hit the ball at will at times. Not a bad batting average .282. I am being patient as I have the second lowest strike outs, but I just cannot hit the ball any where. Long season though. For now I am dropping back the pitching to All-Star and reorganizing my modifiers chart. Thanks for the input!

I have the arm strength at 4...seems to work well. That is what I used last year. A timing of 6 and contact of 7 was a little too high from game to game so I dropped the timing back to 5.

Dropped my next game 11-6 at Toronto. Great game, but I could tell that the timing was playing in to me raising the Contact to 7. I liked the hit distribution all around. I have moved the timing back down and fixed the modifier chart and the home page to reflect the new changes for V7.2
