Exactly as posted on OP. As the season had gone on my staters era are looking like they should and like they do in real life. Like I sad before I so dominate a lot but with the combination of my sorry *** Ba at 249 for the season everything is very competitive. I'm excited for this playoff push.

This is the story since moving to HOF, I can't have a single game where both my offense and pitching produce, it's always one or the other. I actually have 3 SP's with a rating above 80 and Felix hovering around 90 so this is a little idiotic that nobody can locate. It's one thing to have it happen sporadically but when it happens more often then it doesn't then something is off.

As for making moves I'm past the deadline. I wish I could go back as I'd blow this sorry *** team up with a quickness starting with the overpaid Felix Hernandez and his 4.60 ERA. I might go back to AS, clearly HOF isn't meant for me as the way games play out is so sporadic that I just can't find any balance.
To further my point I was just playing a game against the Rays at Tropicana Field. I was getting through the line up pretty routinely but I had given up three runs through 6 innings. I decided to pull wade Miley for Huston Street (Claimed off of waivers). Suddenly I couldn't get anyone out. I blew a 7-3 lead and lost the game 9-7 And allowed 16 hits.

I hear that. I decided, against my better judgement, to put my sliders exactly as Armor has them. They were the same other then I had my control/consistency at 6/6 and had the CPU's pitching sliders at 5/5/5 where as he has them at 4/5/4. Lowering my pitching back to default seems like a recipe for disaster but time will tell. Maybe being a little more erratic will lead to more strikeouts, or maybe it will lead to me officially losing my mind with this game lmao.

I have the sliders exactly as his and I've noticed that on pitches where I miss my spot the cpu ends up getting jammed or underneath the ball more. Maybe I'm just in a good groove right now but it's worth a shot

Well things were looking solid, Sonny Gray went out and pitched 7 and only gave up 1 unearned, offense hit 2 HR's to give me a nice 5-1 cushion. Then it happened, bullpen came in and promptly served up 4 runs. Drew Storen who has been lights out couldn't locate for ****, bring in Rzepczynski to face Alex Gordon with 2 on and 2 out and somehow the prick turns a low and away change into a no doubt HR which is what tied it. Like I said, the game seems to love keeping scores close on HOF, here I thought I might finally have a sizeable lead heading into the 8th and nope, should have predicted it would go this way. I don't know what you guys are doing to have success on HOF, I feel like I'm either the words worst player or I'm playing an entirely different game then y'all as I don't get anywhere near the same results.

One of these days I'll stream again and you can see for yourself how things just consistently spiral out of control. It's only a question of will it be the SP or the RP that blows the game for me as I know eventually my pitcher's will miss their spots repeatedly regardless of what I do.

Side note, sliders don't really do much imo. My guys are just as inaccurate on 5/5 as they were on 6/6. I wouldn't at all be shocked if you have to crank it higher on HOF to see the same difference you would see on AS without having to go as high. It's not as if my guys have terrible control or plain suck so I can't figure it out.

EDIT - I almost forgot to mention the 4 errors I made this game with auto fielding and throwing lol. When it rains it pours, it's as if my players were all suddenly replaced by clones who haven't ever played baseball a day in their lives.

For your franchise it's hard to believe that the Royals would trade both Hosmer and Cain and would the Rays ever send the Yankees Chris Archer? So far in my Franchise with the Trade slider left alone it still works with some teams sellers and some buyers.. With the slider turned up it seems like everyone is selling and alot of unsim trades are produced. Just my opinion. Like I said I use your sliders every year and my opinions are just my own. Thanks again A&S.

First of all the Rats traded Archer to the Cardinals.

Secondly the Royals are going to lose both Cain and Hosmer and why sit on them and get nothing?

Thirdly consistency and Control on 5 might be too easy for you but not for me. So tweak it to what you want. My sliders are not the gospel they are merely a base set to work off of for some while others like them the way they are.

And finally.....my franchise is my universe and I have a blast making up my own story lines.
I could care less what anyone does in their own franchise make it as brutally realistic or as fantasy as you want. Whatever allows you to enjoy the game to the fullest.

Yeah it's a bummer you feel that way. I just got pummeled by the Marlins 11 to 2 and have since posted back to back shutouts. It's definitely not the game. Everything is working in order for me. I don't know why you're having the issues you have. I was killing the CPU in the beginning. Than we made more adjustments and I couldn't hit for sh*t. I had restarted my damn franchise a bunch of times. Than Armor put up gold, the last patch was issued, the roster I wanted came out, and I made my own changes to the set that I didn't like here and boom, it was like night and day. The game just freakin came together and it's playing great. I would go down to All Star and do control/consistency 3/3 and up CPU contact to 6 or mess around somewhere in there because for whatever reason HOF just is not working for you. But I know that frustrating feeling. It took me a lot longer this year to get comfortable with the game. Other than bullpen AI, the power issue is my only issue with this game but I've accepted it and just having fun. In my own universe, the Mets are up there with the likes of the Orioles and Cubs, just mashing dingers haha and we have one hell of a one two punch in Noah and DeGrom.

Still loving these sliders on all star hitting and HoF pitching (metered) I'm 4 games up on Boston for 1st In the AL East. My last 3 series have been great. Beat Boston 2-1 in 3 close games and then lost to the Yankees 3 straight. Next up against Cleveland won 2-1. First game Estrada was punished for 7 ER and I lost 8-1 next game down 4-0 in the 8th when I rallied for 6 runs (including a grand slam) to win it 6-4. Final game won 7-1 with another grand slam.

Getting very mixed results and loving it. I have a series against Oakland coming now and I play every pitch of every game at the end of July.

Trades are always funny to me, every year people claim that player A would never be traded for player B thus it's not realistic and while I agree in terms of the really outlandish ones for the most part they aren't that bad and realistically MLB history is littered with lop sided trades that didn't look so bad when they were done yet the prospects never panned out so years later they look terrible.

KC didn't trade away Hosmer in my franchise, which was surprising, but they did trade away Cain and traded for Chris Archer which was a little of a head scratcher. That's probably the only deal I've seen that I legit wanted to reverse but since I'm not using 30 team control I don't have that option. Colorado traded away some players (Blackmon and Dahl) but other then Archer there was no front line SP that was moved, next best would have been Taijun Walker going from Arizona to NYM. Ironically enough both Dahl and Blackmon were traded to cover for injured players and then both went down with injuries right away and are both out for the rest of the season, talk about terrible luck. I did have one post deadline deal made as LAA traded for Howie Kendrick, apparently they're gearing up for a deep playoff run as their pitching has been lights out and now they add another bat that can hit both LHP and RHP.

Keep on keepin on Armor, no matter how frustrated I get at times I still appreciate all the slider testing and work you did for the betterment of OS as a whole. I mean I haven't adjusted much of anything, and in fact I'm now using your settings to a tee other then pitch speed being higher, and that's a God send as usually I get stuck in slider hell with every sports game.

When you say you made changes to the set are you talking about slider changes or changes to the roster file you referenced?

I wrapped up my series with KC last night and finally won a game that didn't require a sweat inducing 9th inning. The final score was 5-1 as James Paxton would dance around danger constantly and somehow survive. I really can't stand pitching with Paxton, his control is all over the map, I hate his delivery as it literally looks like he's slinging it up there with some weird dead arm action, he can't locate his curveball about 85% of the time and then he becomes a fastball/cutter pitcher and gets hit hard. Sonny Gray started the game before that and shut them down then, with us up 5-2, the bullpen gave up a 3-run HR to Alex Gordon to tie it. I eventually won that game 6-5 in the 12th which means I've finally put together a win streak longer then 1 game lol. Next up is 2 at Oakland and then I play the front running LAA which should be entertaining if noting else.

I give up guys. I have been following the thread since its inception. I was beyond dominating on allstar pitching. ERA under 2.00 when I was on allstar with the twins. When Armor went to HOF I went also. Started with a franchise with Baltimore. 25 games in my ERA is over 6.00. It feels like CPU automatically gets to 6 or 7 runs in the first few innings and then will coast the rest of the way. I just can't pitch on HOF and Allstar is way to easy. Any help would be appreciated. Every year Armor you have put up sliders that have made this the game I play all year. I can't thank you enough for that. Either I am losing my skills or the game has got my number.

Without seeing how you play on HOF pitching it is impossible for me to see what you can improve on.

I had to move up to HOF pitching as after years on All-Star pitching it became too easy.

It really for me personally comes down to getting ahead early in the count and on 0-2 1-2 counts getting them to chase at pitches out of or right on the edge of the zone.

When you fall behind a good hitter.....keep it down.

It really feels like real pitching for me on HOF.

It used to in All-Star but Ingot too good at pinpointing pitches on classic at that level (go figure that!)

I fear good hitters now and Incan never go back to All-Star.

I say keep at. Because you are at the same point I was. I tried HOF on 16 but was pummeled. Went back to All-Star but eliminated the ball marker.

This year no ball marker and no controller vibration on HOF.

It feels pure and gives me the Strato-Matic dice results I strive for.

So challenge hitters that you don't fear, pitch around and away from elite hitters, unless you get ahead and can jam them up and in with a country fastball or throw a country fastball high and away.

Just so much tactical things each and every AB going on.

Also on HOF you just not fall into any patterns nor pitch the same guy the same way every time.

                          I am addicted to it.

Chiming in with All Star plus again, for those feeling in between levels.

Crank Dynamic difficulty sensitivity slider up to ten, use an Ace vs a AA team, just pitch and fast forward your teams at bats, you should be able to get to AS plus within 2 games. When you get there, zero out the DD slider to lock yourself there. Worth a shot if you are feeling too good for AS but HOF is knocking you around.

Thanks for the tips. I am going to start really paying attention to previous at bats and see what happens. I really don't want to go back to all star. It wasn't any fun dominating. I have done well with the bullpen so you might be on to something about pitching different for each at bat. Most of my relievers have eras under 3.00, so that might be my problem. Again I can't thank you enough for all the work you put into these sliders and being active in this thread.

If it doesn't work out, try out the level between all star and hall of fame. It worked for me. I still get punished for starting off 3 batters with a low outside fastball in a row but not as bad for forgetting how I pitched someone 2 times through the line-up ago.
