For pitching one suggestion for pitching with the clean screen and classic until you develop "a feel" is to turn vibrations on. This will let you know when you are on the edge of the zone. This will give you a feel on how far to move the left stick and also vibrate as you get to maximum effort on the pitch.

A big thing I do is change up my pitch speed by releasing the X button at 4 different increments.
1-A quick tap, more accurate on average, but ball has less velocity and drops a bit
2-Quick hold about 1/2 a second, good mix of velocity and accuracy, still takes a bit off speed wise
3-1 second hold, not as accurate but good movement and velocity
4-2 second hold, most velocity, but worst control and tends to be up in the zone more, high risk, high reward.
I didn't realize that the time you hold the x button determines what you mentioned above. I was watching the speeds but really have not payed attention to it. I will give that a try. I already have vibrations on and do use that.

Yeah. You can actually throw more than 100 mph with Chapman holding down the x button longer.

So you have all throws at 6 and fielding at 7?

I just had a 18 inning game. I won 1-0 on a McCutchen walk off suicide squeeze. They were on their last pitcher which was Ramos and he pitched 60 IP. They had a starter warming up for a while but never brought him in.

14 pitchers used total. I went 8 for 58 and the Marlins hit 7 for 58. I am just getting used to MLB 15 the show batting view. Kind of messing up my timing a bit. I'm early on everything.

I tried the power at 3 and solid hits at 5 but that nueters the offense. Neither team did not have any extra base hits. That's not possible in a 18 inning game. So I'm moving back to where you have it.

I left OF errors on 6 since they are not as prevalent, so all throws 6, INF errors 7, OF errors 6

Just had a game where my modifier gave me a -1 power to move it down to 3. I had a total of 10 hits: 3 HR, 3 2B and 4 Singles.

I lost 9-4 and gave up 15 hits and 2 HR to Pedroia.

I am moving to test the next game at Contact of 6 for CPU human and Power of 3 for both as well. Solid hits are at 5. Human Control/Cons are both now at 5 and the CPU are both at 4. I will provide an update. Also I moved the wind down to 3 because I think it is a little too much as you mentioned.

I have my fielding at 5 currently I am moving that back up to 6 after reading some of the posts here. I just thought earlier I was seeing too many missed played balls.

After 6 games I am batting .216 and I have an ERA of 6.27 I am at a total lost because I am at the extremes on both ends. I need something to tighten that up.

              last with doubles at 5
Second with HR with 16, which I can buy off on due to the power in the line up. But the BA for a team such as Bmore is a little troubling.
Only 45 hits in 6 games an average of 7.5 per game. The next closest team has 59 hits. Needless to say a little discouraging.

Just played a game on the above settings and I lost 3-1 both Boston and I had 4 hits and no HR for the first time this year that neither team hit a HR. Saw some doubles which won the game for Boston as a double cleared the bases early in the game. I played this game with no modifiers. Wind on 3. Bmore is now 2-5 and batting .205 still. I am going to go to Dynamic and see what happens. I am tired of slider chasing now after close to 30 games. I am bumping the CPU and human contact to 7 for the next game with no modifiers.

I have been using fish eye for the batting view but I love the mobbing 15 view or offset 2 view. But my timing is way off and I'm having trouble reading the pitch. What do you use?

I am still using offset zoom, totally comfortable with it now, though I bounced around between a 3 or 4 views early. I can't hit worth a damn in fisheye

Would raising contact to 7 affect the power?

BYU... Have you tried errors at 10 like I posted about?

I am going 7 for infield errors, 6 for OF errors and 6 for throwing errors for both. Even at these numbers I have seen some new animations and have gotten a reasonable amount of errors, so thinking I an going to run with this for a few more games then update the OP if still looking good. Just started a new Cubs franchise that I can run with these from day 1 and see how things play out.

Bryan, thinking contact at 7 could affect power, if only because it expands the sweet spot. I am still feeling good with contact at 5 as I am having 14-15 hits games and getting held to 3-5 hits at times as well.

Okay I think I solved our problem coach. I played a exhibition game with the Yankees vs the Rays. I did Severino against Odorizzi. It was a great balanced game. Yankees won 5-2. Yankees got on the board in the first inning when Gardner walked followed by a single from Ellsbury to make it first and third. Sanchez doubled to score Gardner to make runners on third and second. Then those runners scored on 2 sac flies. Single run in the 3rd from 2 singles to make it 4-0. Days got on the board in the 6th with a walk, 2 singles and a double.

                            Rays 2 8 1
                            Yankees 5 8 1

                            Rays: 4 doubles, 4 singles, 1 BB, 13 K's. 8 for 33
                            Yankees: 2 doubles, 6 singles, 3 BB's, 3 K's. 8 for 29

I had a good mix of hits. Some line drives and some bloopers. I might need to lower my foul ball frequency to strike out a little more. The sliders that I used are below. I know it's just one game but I'm going to roll with these and see what I get.

                            Human/CPU
                            Contact: 6/7
                            Power: 3/3
                            Timing: 3/3
                            Foul Frequency: 0/3
                            Solid Hits: 6/5
                            Pitcher Control: 4/2
Pitcher Consistency: 5/6 only had 1 wild pitch and no hit batters

And everything else was what BYU had.

                              Tanaka 0-0 vs Archer 0-0

Pitchers duel. Sliders still felt good. Struck out more and Archer had me unbalanced. Got to him early with a Bird 2 run homer in the 1st. That's all Tanaka needed. Gave up a solo HR in the 7th and the bullpen closed it out.

                              Yankees 2 5 0 1 HR

A high scoring game. Neither pitcher had it. Sliders still felt good. First time I actually played 2 games without touching the sliders.
