I'm struggling with my pitching. The batter either doesn't swing at a ball, fouls it off, or takes whatever I throw in the strike zone over the fence, or into the gap. I am giving up runs aplenty wherever I locate my pitches. Anybody else experiencing this?

Yeah similar for me too. Lots of meatballs drifting back into the middle of the zone no matter what the pitch is, where I locate it, or how soft/hard I hold the button. I am comfortable with classic pitching by now and how to adjust game to game but this has me stumped.

I have ran into this and found a few things that work for me.....I'll throw a pitch way outta the zone, I'll step off a CPL times in a row or I'll do a mound visit.....now batting if their pitcher is in groove (which will happen, especially on HOF) I'll step out if I feel like they are quick pitching me. I may step out 2 or 3 times to break it up..........amazingly, it seems like these things actually affect the rhythm and groove the CPU seems to get into.......may be placebo, but I don't think so cause I've done it for a CPL years now

The thing that is making me so mad is that it is my whole team 1-8 are all on cold streaks. I've never seen that before. That's how bad I have been.

I am such a stubborn son of a b***h that I will not change a thing with sliders. I have to get back to where I was. I have played with the same sliders for over 50 games.
Its definitely not a slider thing.

Yeah man I struggle with is it me, the sliders, the game, etc. I usually land on it's me, but man it's frustrating to score 2 runs three straight games and feel like I'm just stuck there by forces unseen. I broke many PS2 controllers back in the day. I can't do it with $50-$60 PS4 controllers, but I've come close.

The Red Sox are coning to town tonight for a three game series. This is our chance to really do some damage as we head into June.

I will post a big update once I finish up May.

Needless to say despite dropping 2 of our last 3 to the Padres at home I am feeling great about this upcoming series vs the dreaded Red Sox. I will stream game one tonight probably around 8-8:30

I just CPU timing at 4 and solid hits at 6 and I thought it was very good some weaker hitters swung and missed at fastballs and it seemed like they chased at some pitches more then before.

Same here. I was getting clobbered for 2 games against the Cardinals with my 4th and 5th starters, then deGrom gives me 6 2/3 solid innings allowing only one run on 4 singles and striking out 9. Bullpen of course blew my 2-1 lead in the 7th but I came right back with 4 in the 8th to seal the win.

Absolutely man. Even with all my struggles lately this baseball game is so freaking awesome. I will be playing this game all the way till the release of MLB the show 20. No other sports game compares to this . I know a lot of people say 2K is the best sports game out there but there's not another game like the show that emulates the real thing and makes you feel like you're playing the real thing more than this game.

I can attest to this. My #1 sport is basketball. Baseball is 3rd. I actually hadn't played The Show since 13 because my thought process was it's my 3rd favorite sport so I'll skip it to devote more time to 2K. Thing was it was bugging me because I remembered having more fun with The Show due to it being more realistic out of the box than 2K or Madden. Something about it just drew me in more than my top sports videogames. After picking up The Show 19 this year I haven't played 2K in weeks. It's crazy because IRL I much prefer basketball. The Show just needs some of the 2K MyLeague type features and I'll be in sports game heaven.

Agreed 100%. If we had a deeper franchise mode with better stat pages, award tracking, better coaching/scout system, it could be the best sports game, period.

I'd love to see things like trade approval and injury management like 2K has as well. Trade approval is a huge one.

If MLB The Show absorbed OOTP and kept their team on to revamp franchise mode for next year, I might only leave my house for work the entire year.

I've stuck with timing at 6 for now but power down to 5 for me for sure. Still hitting lots of Homers
