What were you seeing? I’ve played 2 1/2 games of my Yankees franchise (after starting over yet again after hitting 9 homers in a 14-0 drubbing if the Orioles).

I loaded up your exact sliders and:

Win game 1 15-7 on 19 hits (2 homers)
Win game 2 6-2 on 12 hits (1 homer)
Winning game 3 6-2 after 5 innings on 8 hits (2 homers)

Seems like the right call in lowering solid hits down a notch

Whatever works for you.....is what you should roll with. The OP is a base to tweak to your taste.

Exactly this. No two gamers are going to be the same. I personally put the timing at 5 because at 6 I was hitting the crap out of it consistently.

Before I even knew about message boards and sites like this, 13 year old me got quite the punishment for using my dad's credit card without permission to buy a Rivals.com subscription for $10 so I could spend an entire week of my summer vacation manually editing every player in NCAA Football 2003 just so I could import proper draft classes into Madden when it came out the following month.

I almost didn't get Madden as my birthday gift for pulling that stunt, but it was worth it. The next few years I saved up the money to give my dad beforehand, until I found this place. Blew my mind I wasn't the only weirdo doing that with my NCAA rosters. Then I discovered could just send someone money and a week or two later get a PS2 memory card with the roster on it in an envelope. Good times.

Yo! I used to do the same thing. I can't recall if it was rivals but I'd buy a magazine/book and go through every team. It's was maddening, but when I got done it felt fantastic. I'm so glad we have downloadable rosters in sports games now 😂

With timing and power at 6 for me and solid hits down to 4 it feels exactly like post patch 1.09 for me again.

Armour, are you giving any consideration of dropping human timing back down to 5?

Reason why I ask is my Yankees just swept the Orioles. All games were post latest patch

I know the Orioles staff sucks, but are they THAT bad??

Yes where actually having a home stand with them currently here in Cleveland in real life, and they are playing the part. I'm glad because we need the wins but also I'm able to see the ups and downs with every pitch

Yesterday in real life the Os had atleast 7 in field errors and none was actually counted. It was a very huge topic on our local radio show. How that stat should just be thrown out. Especially if they dont use it.

But the O's pretty much are playing like a just born single A club to be honest. And after seeing how his sliders play out in a CPU vs CPU game I think they balance very well.

For human hitting I think I have settled on:

Contact - 5
Power - 6
Timing- 5
Solid hits - 5

And I have all of these sliders at 5 for cpu. Hives me the challenge and more realistic results.

The struggle is real. Lol can’t hit right now but that is me struggling. My biggest issue I’m seeing is with cpu hitting. I’m not giving up a ton of hits but the ones I do give up are bombs. Armor had me drop cpu contact 1. Would you think maybe putting it back but lowering power would even that out?

So after playing this game for the better part of 10 years now, I just experienced something I have never seen before in this game.

My Phillies are taking on the Padres on a west coast road trip and in the 1st inning I come out hot. With 2 on and 2 out, I run the count to 2-0 with Herrera. Here’s the cool part: The pitcher comes set and just before he begins his delivery, I hear a fan peep out “I got a bad feeling about this” and I proceed to hit a 3 run tank on a hanging breaking ball! BOOM!!

Just curious if any of you guys have had this happen before. The fans actually yell out some random funny stuff if you listen for it. Pretty cool moment

Nolan Arenado May Be Heading To The Yankees

For those that have followed my Yankees Franchise, back in Year 1 The Rockies did a massive purge selling off Charlie Blackmon and several other players. One of those players was D.J. Lemahieu and they got back a very young and very raw Vlad Guerrero Jr back. His time has come with the Rockies. In the meantime Nolan Arenado is seeking a massive pay raise in the 24MM per season range as he is set to hit free agency and is rumored to not want to go back to Colorado who are languishing in the N.L West.

The Yankees are said to be offering 2B Gleyber Torres and pitcher Justin Sheffield in return.

Aaron Judge still has two more years under team control

Greg Bird one more year under team control

Gary Sanchez two more years under team control

Luis Severino one more year under team control

Trea Turner 3 more years under team control


GM Michael Sword is said to be looking at pulling the trigger on this deal and extending Arenado to a multi year deal for what he is seeking. Nolan is 27 and in the prime of his career.

Edwardo Nunez may also be included on the deal.
