Not in my division obviously, but the Pirates killed me this year in the 6 games we played. I think I went 2-4 against them.

So with this being my 2nd season and probably my last for the Show 19 , im wondering if I should make a truly big move for a true ace . I will 100% be buying the Show 20 but I won't be doing a carry over , or maybe I will , I have no idea cus it would be my first time ever . (I Haven't played the show since 2016) so I want to give this season a real go and see just how far we can go . Offensively and Defensively we are fine , players have grown nicely and I'm confident in my squad . Fixing the Pitching was always the focus with my Jays , and we look solid there now as well . Jake Odorizzi(84) Aaron Sanchez(84) Julio Teheran(82) Trent Thornton(79) and Sean Reid-Foley(76) make up a solid rotation and ratings are usually higher with all the happiness and high morale boost . But I don't have that 1 pitcher that is 86 ,87 or higher rated , that true number 1 ace.

So below is Sherwood Marquez , I had the 8th or 9th pick in the 1st round of the first season draft . He is already a great outfielder and as u can see he will for sure develop into a elite CF and also a great contact hitter . But I won't be playing this long enough for him to develop into a superstar , so I was thinking of trading him away since he has insanely high trade value . I looked around and I can get : Luis Castillo(89) Jose Berrios(87) Carlos Carrasco(87) Kyle Freeland(87) Carlos Martinez(88) Jameson Taillon(90) and Probably my favorite cus he is Canadian and for him to come to the Jays would be awesome James Paxton(87) and Miguel Andujar(80) . I can make any 1 of those trades just for Sherwood Marquez and 1 (B) rated prospect . I'm currently ranked 10th overall and 11th overall in pitching , so if any one of these pitchers were to come to my Jays team we would without a doubt become a instant contender. I had no intentions of giving him away or making any other moves at all , I'm very happy with my team and I'm ready to play out this season with the current squad as is . But after today's sweep to the Mighty Baltimore Orioles I started to second guess my pitching and I think I do just need that 1 true star ace to help us out . I just really don't know anymore , this is driving me crazy lol Thanks Baltimore

Man it's so tough to decide , i do want to see Marquez grow into 1 of the best outfielders in the game . So for now I'm gonna stick with things as they are . If anything I'll rethink it all over again when nearing the trade deadline . So I got a good min to go before that happens , so for now I'm committed to this 100%. I was actually thinking of trading away Aaron Sanchez since he's gone now in real life , so maybe at the trade deadline I'll shop him around and include a (A) potential prospect and try to make a deal for Castillo or Berrios . Just gotta say it's so good to discuss things over with someone before just acting on impulse and regretting something later on.

Playing the 3rd game of a 4 game series with the Reds and have Gerrit Cole on the mound. In the 5th inning and Cole is 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, a Grand Slam, and 5 RBI! I kid you not. My jaw dropped when I hit the slam. My offense is heating up. Currently up 9-0 in the 5th inning. We won the 2nd game of the series 9-1.

EDIT: Gerrit Cole is now 4 for 4! This is insane.

Just finished the 4 games series with the Reds in which we took 3 of the 4 games. After the first game, Andrew McCutchen came up with a bruised arm and missed the rest of the series. Nick Williams took his place in left field and had a hell of a 3 games.

He went 7 for 14 (.500) with 3 home runs, 1 double, 7 RBI, and 3 runs scored. 2 of those home runs came in the series finale including one on the very first pitch of the game! He has been pretty solid all season in a part time role, but in these last few weeks of the season he has earned more playing time. He will be in left mostly every day with McCutchen moving to center and Odubel Herrera hitting the bench. He will be traded in the offseason anyhow.

On the season so far, Nick Williams has appeared in 103 games hitting .299 with 17 doubles, 5 triples, 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 35 runs scored, and 34 strikeouts in 201 at-bats.

I'm pretty sure he will be my everyday left fielder in 2020 with McCutchen manning center field. This will allow me to use more money to put towards pitching help.

And this is exactly what I mean by things always even out. I was leading the League in least amount of HR's given up , and in the last 4 games I've given up a total of 11 and 5 on 6 hits in 5 innings of today's first game ! So for the first time ever I restarted the game and guess what happens ? Pretty much the exact same thing , only this time it was 4 homers on 7 hits in 6 innings of work . That's 16 homers in 5 games , so just a little over 3 homers a game on average. Last season same exact thing , was in the top 3 in least amount of homers given up and all of the sudden hit a patch of 6 or 7 games where I gave up 20 or more . Now I'm right near the middle with a ranking of 14th overall , just where the game wants me to be .

So the Jays had real interest in Jake Odorizzi in free agency but didn't fork out at the end of the day , and now there's some chatter about Hyun -Jin Ryu . I have 0 confidence in Atkins and what the Jays organization says anymore , but this is exactly what the Jays need in real life and what I need in my Franchise . I truly hope there's some truth to this and they act before it's too late , but for the time being I will be making the move for Ryu in my Franchise . I have no lefty in my starting 5 and Ryu is exactly what I need , even tho he is slowly on the decline he is still 86 rated and will become my number 1 ace that I need . I had to deal 84 rated Aaron Sanchez and a (B) prospect , so Ryu isn't a huge upgrade on Sanchez but I'm happy to get the deal done . The Dodgers still get a solid pitcher in return and a prospect so I think it's a fair enough trade overall .
