There’s no way to check in the pause menu when on dynamic that I know of. Or is there?

Sent from my iPhone using Operation Sports
Go to settings--> General--> Dynamic Difficult Updates.

You can change it 'progress', then take one at bat... It will then pop up again.

OR you can change it to "start of game" and it will show up only on your first pitch (for pitching difficulty) or first AB (hitting difficulty).

I'm officially locking-down Injuries at 6 for this setup.

It's a REALLY nice balance here. I've had games with multiple injuries (short term), I've lost guys for 1-2 months...I've seen the CPU lose guys. I really like what this has done for us.

This is also the most balanced simulation value. You can just lock this in and go.

That is what I'm going with too. Any higher and you can run into a lot of trouble with 90 man rosters. Especially in the minors where the players have low a durability attribute.

Yeah, simming with injuries at 7 made injury numbers a bit too consistent across the league. I like simming at 6 because some organizations will stay relatively healthy while others get hammered - so there is some diversity there.

Where I've been pleasantly surprised is at how well it has been reflecting in in-game injuries. I played two games last night, 1 game losing 2 players to very short-term injuries, the second game in a different franchise where I lost a player for 1-2 months.

I've been seeing stuff play out like this since I made the switch about a week or so ago...

Josh, with Slider for HUM Pitcher Control to 6, does that make pitching harder??? I have the consistency set to 6 but Im worried that if I do that with the control as well that I will be shutting out everyone, but the notes you have under the slider adjustment have me wanting to try it. Right now I am on pitching hall of fame and my pitch count and BB is always really low.

I started a new franchise with the Braves with these new sliders and the first game Soroka threw a complete game 2 hit shutout. The 2nd game, Hamels got the first two outs of the game and then gave up 6 singles in a row for 4 runs. Then gave up a homer in the 2nd inning to make it a 5-5 game in the 2nd. Totally different game.

The dynamics of HOF are quite a bit different. I think contact MIGHT help the CPU to be more in "take mode" (which will increase BBs/pitch counts)...but that coupled with consistency...I'd be wary as well.

Do me a favor. Play just 5 or 10 games on this exact OP (hitting AND pitching) on All Star...following everything to the letter. If that doesn't work well for you in terms of getting variety, follow the exact OP on All Star+ for 5-10 games.

I'm guessing 90% of folks will go, "Oh, I really don't need to play on HOF".

If you're in the 10%, then I can give you some untested ideas...

                  Josh-
I am going to try your sliders after years of Armor's simply because I suck on HOF and am more of an All Star level player. My questions regards roster- I do like a "real" roster, have you heard if Cyclonic's true sim roster works well with your set, or would I go with a Ridin roster?

I am in awe of the work you've done, thank you for the posts and for all of this

I'm dying laughing cause as I was reading this(Injury at 6 too), I'm playing a game where I just injured the opposing Pitcher while he was trying to bunt. Threw the ball high n it hit him. Injured his finger, possibly for a few days, or months.

Funny enough, next time up to bat the new pitcher just beaned one of my batters.

Ridin's rosters don't touch the SDS ratings....so I can directly vouch for them based on experience.

I haven't played with Cycloniac's...he does a lot of re-rates and has a lot of his own suggested slider stuff....I just don't know....

Get a few games in with Ridin's...get a feel for the sliders. Then, if you want to contrast to Cycloniac's, you can get an idea with a good reference point.

You would think this set would work great with his rosters but something just seems off. I haven’t tested it other than maybe one game but it doesn’t feel right for some reason. I think you almost have to use his sliders with that roster for them to feel right.

Yeah I feel the same way. Something is just off with that roster. Think they went a bit overboard with the re rates or their calculations weren’t that great. I gave that roster and his sliders a long look too

Well I know they bumped up a lot of speed on the players based on their position. Like Ozuna Has 84 speed in those rosters. So I don’t know if that messes up the fielder speed and reaction. I like the idea that they want to build it for multiple seasons of franchise. They claim that the base rosters become unplayable after a couple of years.
