I believe that was last about in your 2019 thread if I remember right.

Stealing is super easy without adjusting the sliders. You just need decently speedy guys (and my team is the opposite of speedy). The cpu also takes off a lot too.

Josh when you sim cpu games do you see the cpu stamina at 6 make a significant impact on cpu stats for pitchers as compared to simming at 5?

I don't really pay attention to that stuff.

Re: JoshC1977's "Maximize Player Ratings" MLB 20 Sliders

Question: I am looking to give myself a very slight boost to my K and BB rates. While the vast majority of this is my own poor pitch selection, and swinging at pitches out of the zone, especially on 3-2 counts, would bumping Human Timing to 6 have more potentially adverse impacts to overall gameplay to not make it worth a temporary solution as my plate skills continue to develop? I don’t want to screw up what is otherwise an incredible experience. If so, are there any other minuscule tweak I can make to help counteract my low BB/high K rates as a batter until I get better? Thanks.

Just bump down the two pitch speed sliders one tick each. That should always be the number one tweak made for hitting as it doesn't impact anything else.

Thanks for all your hard work with the sliders again year after year. I have followed your sliders on Madden and The Show in years past and you've always done a great job. I have been using Armors sliders in a Mariners franchise for 32 games so far, and I am 16-16. However, like you've said in this thread, something feels "off" about HOF. Yeah, my record is about where it should be with the Mariners, but my pitching is ATROCIOUS yet I'm #2 in the league in runs scored.

I am dead l last in the league in hits allowed by almost 40 hits which is crazy. My pitching ERA is i believe 29th at nearly 6. I have had multiple games where I have given up 15+ hits, and just had one where I gave up 22. My top 2 starters both have ERA's over 7!! after the first month of the season. That just doesn't happen, and every single ball that is hit off me has an insane exit velo, which goes back to your solid hits theory. Also, the Mariners offense should not be #2 in the league in runs scored. I'm hitting .400 with 11 bombs with Tom freaking Murphy. It doesnt feel right.

So, I am going to give your sliders a shot. I am worried that since I was crushing the ball on HOF, i'll crush it even more on All Star. However, some of your subtle changes I think could really help me, regardless of difficulty level. Do you have any suggestions for me just getting started with these? I think I am going to restart a franchise with a different team and these sliders. Thanks!
Hey Josh, following up on this from a few days ago. I started a Padres franchise with these sliders and loved what I saw the first 2 games, a close 4-3 win and then a 3-1 loss. But since then, I have been absolutely mashing. In my last 7 games, i have scored: 10, 11, 8, 6, 7, 16 (20 hits and 7 homers), 8 runs.

I have hit 28 home runs in just 9 games and am leading the league in almost every offensive category. I already have 8 homers with Tatis. To be fair, I have faced the Rockies pitching staff in 6 of my 9 games, and only faced Marquez and Gray once (which were the first two games when my offense was slowed down). I know sample size is key, but coming off Armors HOF sliders (even though I was mashing with those too, my pitching was just atrocious), I am worried these are too easy for me, but I trust your sliders and approach so IDK what to do. The only change I have from the OP is 8/7 pitch speed. Am I just on an offensive tear facing bad pitching in hitters parks?

I know I probably need to give it more time to even out, but man I am started to really get frustrated with this game being either too easy or too hard. I just want competitive games, its not even fun when I am hitting every pitch I see 110mph either out of the park or for a double. If you have any other suggestions to make it more of that All Star + feel, I would love to hear your thoughts. Sorry for the long and annoying post but I am starting to get frustrated. Thanks!

Josh, TopSide I just wanted to give you a shoutout on encouraging me to turn off vibration. I'm 3 games in after playing 19 and 20 with it on and I'm sold on keeping it off. It's even more fun because now I pitch even more by feel, intuition and muscle memory. The immersion is deeper! Thanks guys!

No problem bro. I can not for the life of me pitch any other way. Having vibration on is like having two broken crutches.

I was mashing and dominating with my pitching but making the switch to AS+ actually stopped that. I'm getting tons of variation right now.

How far into All-Star plus are y’all? For example, when I switched back to dynamic I was already on All-Star then eventually I got about halfway, maybe one more notch to the right towards Hall of Fame difficulty. Seems to be playing great so I just recently discovered turning the dynamic sensitivity down to zero prevents the difficulty from moving up.

So as of now I’m hitting on All-Star plus(borderline HoF) but pitching on regular All-Star.
