I’m still consistently getting low scoring games using the op with all star plus. Every game is like 1-0,2-0, or 2-1. I’m using the sf giants. So far I’m 23-12. Any suggestions to improve offense

I have this issue every time I mess with the solid contact slider using the timing/classic setup. personally I have found leaving solid contact at 5 and lowering the cpu timing slider to 3 or 4 and raising the human timing to 6 and adjusting pitch speed to 7/6 to work. But that's for me, maybe it will work for you, maybe it won't.

I'm 7-13 in my season with the braves after restarting using the newest update sliders. The most runs I've scored in a game so far is 5 and the most the cpu scored is 6. Most of my games are like 3-1 3-2ish.

I played a game last night. 15 innings. I lost 3-1. They hit a walk off 2 run home run in the bottom of the 15th. Both teams combine for 6 hits in 15 innings. I had bases loaded 3 times and couldn't get a walk or a hit

I can't get anything to drop to save my life perfect hits going right to gloves. Lots of double play groundballs. Tons of warning track fly outs. Even tried moving to more of a opposite field approach and still can't get anything going. Team avg is like .227 at the moment.

I stopped playing about 3 weeks ago and have had no desire to even try anymore. I’d have one decent scoring game followed by 7 pitching duels no matter what settings I used. Very sad because the game played great the first few weeks I had it.

Thanks Josh for all your hard work but once I lose interest in a game it’s hard for me to get back into it.

My post said nothing about a patch. There was a week where there were about 3-4 game updates that came in a few day stretch.

I’m not saying that’s the reason why the games have been low scoring only that I’ve lost interest in playing for weeks now.

Josh does an awesome job and his sliders are great but I think it’s something under the hood that’s keeping these games low scoring

It is funny, the pitchers were complaining that the hitters were getting an unfair advantage with steroids. Now the tables have turned. I get that the doctoring the ball was in the game forever, but something has changed to take this too far.

Another debate is, the steroid hitters are not being voted into the hall of fame. What do they do with these pitchers that get caught with illegal stuff.

What is incredible is how it is not being clamped down on...when it is right in front of the umpires eyes. It seems like an understood part of the game just like when PED’s were not illegal during the 90’s.

I am also in the school that Bonds, Clemens, etc absolutely should be in the HOF. Legends. Period. They were great without the PEDS and then when almost the entire league was using some sort of PED....what were the players supposed to do? Personally I would never put anything like that in my body....but more players were using than not. You just did not hear about all the everyday joe guys who make up 97% of the league. You only heard about the top 2-3%.

Anyway.....I hope baseball at some point realizes the game is becoming more and more a bore. The contact rate is a joke at this point. Hitting has truly become a lost art at the MLB level.

I can almost assure you there are great hitters floating around the minors who simply are not power guys and they are being kept down for the all or nothing HR hitters at literally every position. The quality of the game for the first time in my history of watching baseball is in jeopardy.

There is literally very little action other than a HR or a strikeout most of the time. At some point I think there will be a reversion to the mean. Bunting, stealing bases, hitting the ball behind the runners....all of that is taking place on High School and Colleges fields across the nation. But at the pro level......it is disappearing.

I suggest you find a set designed around HOF.

could you explain why? not questioning at all, just genuinely interested. these are pretty close to default for the most part, wouldnt HOF with these sliders still have the "player ratings matter" feel to it but just a little tougher? Thanks Josh.

Because HOF operates off of different principles/dynamics.

No different than why you wouldn't drop an All Pro set into All Madden.

Even with the subtle changes we employ here; you just can't assume they cross over and I cannot in any way, shape, or form vouch for them.

I won't get up on a pedestal and act like I am perfect (I'm not). But today's athlete is getting harder and harder to root for. These spin rates are out of control and obviously these pitchers know they are doing something that isn't exactly on the up and up. IMO, this is just as bad as the Astros hitters 2 years ago and obviously all the PED guys from the 90's. Will someone please clean this sport up. It's hard to watch when you know what you are watching isn't exactly genuine.

I think maybe this is a small part of the reason why Bacon's rosters are so popular....create your own baseball universe and forget today's real-life athlete.
