I’ve played a ton of games with your set. Love them but I’ll tell you exactly what I’ve noticed.

Too man home runs. I’m knocking them out the park with ease. The cpu not as much as me but they still score more of their runs of homers.
I’d like to try a 6 contact 4 power 5 solid hits. You still see tons of hit variety.

Human pitcher is still too accurate. I’m thinking 4-4 control consistency is the way to go.

Lowering fielder run speed to 3 really opens up tons of more hits.

Fielding errors needs to go back to default. I’m
Not seeing more errors at 6 just more guys diving for balls and not making the play.

Foul balls are driving me insane. Needs to be lowered even more especially for the cpu.

I’ve had one HBP in all three games so far - one game had 3 lol…anyone else seeing this? Maybe just because the Orioles pitchers are terrible?

We are seeing completely different games.

1.5 is still going strong for me folks.

            Variety has been stellar.

Fielder reaction and speed at 4 stretches the ratings just enough and it will hold strong over the course of 162….I can see it already and feel it in every game I have played thus far.

I am currently sitting at 10-12 with Yankees. I have dealt with some injuries, and had a major one in losing Severino for the season to a torn labrum.

            The grind is real.

Depth is critical. Roster management is critical. Managing your bullpen very important.

I could not be happier right now.

Play the game…..let baseball happen every pitch, every inning, every game, every month….let the storylines unfold and emerge.

I will finally be updating the news wire this week with all our scores and statistical highlights they the entire month of April.

It has been a ride already as we are close to ending April!!! It is flying! I can’t atop playing this game!!!!

              Notes:

Going to a 12 man staff for all CPU teams and simply not having a pitcher LRP.

Between myself and several other members here through lot’s of testing…this tried and not perfect option is what works best over the long haul.

SDS needs to fix this. Sliders and lineup manipulation simply does not. Also the additional pitcher is causing AI issues and they are not managing it well.

So that is where I am on that and where I will stay.

Everyone can do whatever they feel works best for them. This is what I and a few other longtime Show veterans I trust have been seeing.

Guys I strongly encourage you to just play the game and start really having fun…because despite a few warts this game is simply amazing.

Agreed. Out of the box the game is not bad. Tweak it for your enjoyment and then run with it. Been having a blast.

1-3 start to my Jays franchise. Won the first game 7-1 and my offence has scored 5 runs total in the next 3 losses.

Need to be more patient at the plate!

I was searching the OP for information on how to set up the 30-man franchise, but I don't see anything. Can someone point me to a thread where the franchise setup is explained for the 30-team control?

Go to your settings and on the mode specific make everything you want on either auto or manual for your team then save the name of the preset. Make another preset with a different name and do the same thing, auto or manual , which will be for all the cpu controlled teams. Once you start a franchise select every team and choose which profile is associated with which team. That's about it. Before playing your teams game of the day sim all the cpu games of the day to see the scores update in game on both the ticker and the scoreboards.

Thank you! I see the Simulation, Competitive, Casual profiles, so I'll add one each for Human and CPU franchise profiles. -- Other than following the OP settings, are there any other suggestions for differences between the Human and CPU profiles?

I have been patiently waiting for an in-depth roster to be released, and ViatorLion’s roster got released before Ridin’s team finished theirs, so I went ahead and rolled with it. I haven’t started my first game yet, but I’m reading that people are noticing a ridiculous amount of hitters swinging at everything due to the roster using very low plate vision for simulation realism.

Since I use your sliders every year without thinking twice, do you think that they’d still be beneficial for this roster? Would you suggest a tweak at all? I’m tired of waiting to begin my franchise, and just when I thought it was finally the day, I’m worried this plate vision issue is going to be a major problem that I won’t be able to enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played.

Debating on using either the Live Rosters or caving and waiting for Ridin’s, unless there’s a definite fix to the issue people are having with that roster. Any insight from the master of sliders would be fantastic.
