I'm always fascinated on how players evolve.

Mookie Betts is a 2B now after being a RF his whole career.

Jordon Adell went from CF prospect to failed two-way player, to legit SP. Even more fascinating is he tried to be a two-way on his own (I didn't set the strategy flag manually), or at least my minors manager at the time decided to try it on his own.

This is during a period in the league where many players were just trying to be two-way out of the blue, even if they had no hitting or pitching skills of note!

Ronald Acuna went from phenom to flop to solid major leaguer.

Xander Bogaerts is a 1B now after dabbling in the outfield, moving all over the infield, and jumping around to different teams.

Jose Abreu rage quit the MLB after getting trade to Angels, dumped by Angles, dumped by the team the Angels traded him to, played in the NPB, hitting a league-leading 45 HR for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows in 2025, released the next year, didn't play ball at all in 2027 and is now, at 41, playing in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Former Marlins prospect Isan Diaz is over there in the CPBL as well, playing on the same team as Abreu.

I think iOS gets MLB Manager, which is like OOTP-lite.

macOS gets the full OOTP game.

Female GMs?

There's two GMs in my game named Stephanie Tucker and Yvonne Encinias.

Does the game make the occasional female staff member? That's awesome if it does.

I have 18 and will probably get 19 soon, but can anyone tell me if they fixed the draft pick trading? It was an easy exploit in 18. Turn on trading of draft picks, when the WS is over check standing to see who has the lowest win percentage and trade your first pick for thiers.

This just happened and I'm completely confused.

Okay, Ohtani was out for a handful of games. I didn't put him on the DL but he was not playing at all (couldn't even if I wanted to, was out, not day-to-day).

As he's about to recover from this injury, he suddenly sprouts another injury out of the blue. It wasn't a setback, there's no news item about it....just "Ohtani has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle and will be out 4 weeks". And now he has two injuries. One for a strained back that clears in a day and this new one that has him out 4 weeks.

How did he get "diagnosed" with an injury that was not pending and did not happen off the field (no "off-field news item" stating the injury)?

I don't question too many of OOTPs processes because of the multitude of factors, but this goes against all of that from what I can tell. Players don't "come up with" mysterious injuries not connected to playing, a setback, or an off-field event, right?

AJ Minter came to me about it in my franchise. I set up a charity for him. Helped with team morale and I think he wants to stay a Brave for awhile now.

How many leagues do you all run? Im debating on if I only want MLB with the AFL and WBC, if I want international and independents, or if I want all of those and the "World of College Baseball" add-on so I can get a College World Series too.

I'm not sure there is a good reason to run fewer leagues unless computing power is an issue. Your fast simming/almanac/face gen stuff goes faster with fewer leagues.

I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro. It could be better, but I dont think its an issue.

I don't think there's always a news item for an injury.

Interested in starting another Dynasty...

Not too sure about how I want to mix playing & simming. I'd ideally like to get through 15 seasons over the next two months. I find playing every pitch of every game almost as tedious as MLB The Show and find myself less focused on actually results from the games and more interested in getting to the end of each month. With that said, simming games takes more than a good chunk of my immersion away.

Any ideas?
