I am not certain of the pitch counts but I have been not been using the generated ones. Millwood made it through 7 innings. So did Padilla and Contreras. The counts seem better than the ones I remember in HH2003. Lots of foul balls too. Not a ton but enough to make it seem real. The substitutions are okay. When a pitcher was getting knocked around, he got yanked. I have been stolen against and the CPU tried to bunt on me once too. I cannot think of anything in the game that has not made sense so far, gameplay wise that is.

True, in my 6-1 win as the Phils, Thome and Burrell got their HR's in the 2nd inning. By the 3rd the AI had 2 guys up and throwing, and the starter was gone in the 4th. Seemed like it was making intelligent decisions.

Some of the complaints are about how the AI swings with certain counts, so I'm going to pay more atention to this in future games.

True, in my 6-1 win as the Phils, Thome and Burrell got their HR's in the 2nd inning. By the 3rd the AI had 2 guys up and throwing, and the starter was gone in the 4th. Seemed like it was making intelligent decisions.

That reminds me of another cool thing. How awesome is it to be hitting and you can actually see the guys (and I mean the real guys) warming up in the bullpen?!?! A nice effect!

I'm a big Manage Mode only player and I'm stradling the line on getting this game. As most of the MOM players from last year the low scoring problems seems to be addressed. But I want to know if the strikeout totals have also been addressed. Has anyone been playing with their fourth and fifth starters getting 10k's? Let me know. Thanks.

I just played the first spring training game of my franchise last night, and my starter had 10 K's. He came out in the 8th, and my remaining pitchers got 2 more K's total. I'll have to keep an eye on my low rotation guys to see how they compare.
