Any thoughts on the sacrifice bunt slider? I've been using the cpu running sliders and today I saw the DH for KC sacrifice with early in the game. I didn't like that so I'm going to reduce it down to 50. Maybe 65 is better in the NL but a DH should almost never bunt.

      Rudy,

I think the SAC slider is Hit n Miss. I've seen times when the pitcher is up in an obvious SAC situation and he doesn't bunt, but there are other times when he does as well as situations like you described in your post. I would also hesitate to change sliders based on just one game.

      Good luck man.

You are probably right. I just hated seeing a DH bunt in the 2nd inning.

Now I know I could take these sliders and just up the Human Power, but I'm curious if you guys are seeing realistic homerun numbers. Because even with default power, I never hit a homerun, and that's playing almost exclusively with the Cardinals who have good power. Even with grooved fastballs that were timed right, I never hit anything to the warning track. I'm using classic swing BTW. Is there that big of a difference as far as power goes between Swing Stick and Classic?
Are you using the L-STICK to influence your hitting when using CLASSIC? This seems to be better incorporated in CLASSIC than in SWING STICK. Also remember that these are a base & you should tweak to your liking

I dont know I think the L-STICK with classic hitting is broken this year. I hit the balls the opposite of what I am trying to do every single time. When I try to pull the ball they go the opposite way and vice versa. Very frustrating.

            You are not expericing this?

I switched back and forth between the CLASSIC and the SWING STICK last night for several hours. I didn't notice a big difference between the L-STICK directional hitting. But, I did notice, that I couldn't hit a line drine, or a deep fly ball, and definitely not a HR with the CLASSIC. Anyone else noticing this?

The sliders on 1st page are the current set?

No, I dont use L-Stick. I did for the first few games, but it never seemed to work right. Every homerun Ive hit with Human Power slider up is just getting my pitch and timing it right. Ive hit a decent amount lower power level players. But I guess I'm just curious if you guys are actually hitting homers with these set at 35. Because like I said, at 50, there was NOTHING behind the ball when hitting it, and it didnt matter who was hitting.

well, since you are experiencing that as I am, it might be safe to say that the Human power slider has to be pretty high to use Classic swing. I'm gonna use these and try to get the Swing Stick down to see if power production is the same as Classic Swing at 75-100. I had my Human Power slider set at 100 for a few games, but started seeing a few too many homers. I lowered it to 75, but noticed that balls lost a good bit of power in any situation. I'm thinking maybe 85....

FWIW, I've been experimenting with the Classic Swing. I use CON40/POW100 and the results have been pretty good. I've hit 5(Morneau, Thome, Cuddyer, Hardy, and Mauer) HRs in 2 games in my Twins dynasty but they were against lower rated White Sox pitchers. Yeah, the HUM power does need to be jacked up with Classic Swing.

Are you guys preferring classic swing over swing stick? Haven't tried it.

Just got quite frustrated, giving up 12 hits to Baltimore with Sabathia through 4.1 innings...

that's a problem Ive had when playing with slider sets that have CPU power at 100. They get to a point where they will absolutely crush anything that is near the plate, and it's usually somewhere in the 4-6th inning range.

i'm wondering this too...thinking about making the switch to classic swing. i don't even know where the controls are located for this (not in the booklet that came with the game). are they in the controller settings for the game itself? thanks!

I can hit a nice amount of homeruns with these sliders. Im the brewers, and if fielder can get ahead in the count, i can usually hit one with him. assuming i get ahead and dont swing at garbage lol
