No I haven't had any problems and no there isn't a slider for CPU speed.

My only advice would be to make sure you preload your throws. If you have a grounder to your SS, make sure to hold the button to throw to 2B while you are approaching the ball. Oh yeah, make sure you goto the ball - don't let it come to you. Then once your SS has thrown to 2B, hold the button to throw to 1B. This way the throw is pre-loaded and the double play will happen faster.

Joeboo, played a game in my franchise with your sliders last night. The funny thing is that it was the same exact date as yesterday in real MLB as it was on my schedule, and the pitching match-up was Schilling vs. Mussina, hows that for realism Anyhow, here is the line:


NYY(me) 4 10 0
BOS 1 8 0

WP-Mussina
LP-Schilling
S-Rivera

I fared a little better than the real Yanks did yesterday Anyhow, fun tight game, Boston went up 1-0 in the bottom of one on a solo shot by Ortiz. Schilling was baffling me until the 6th, when Sheffield, and Williams hit back to back dingers! Scraped a couple of runs together in the 8th off of Williamson, and Timlin, and Rivera struck out 2 in the 9th, and got the save!

Great game, drew 2 walks, and was helped out with a couple of DP balls that killed Red Sox rallies! Anyhow, great sliders Joeboo, I will post more feedback later today

Just thought I'd share some sliders also. I'm getting great variety and realism in my games.

Legend level with Custom Sliders.
I play wth pitch speed at Medium because I'm slow.
Confidence and Power Pitching are on. Speed boosts are off.

Human Offense:

Power: 45
Speed: 49
Stealing: 50

Human Defense:

51 for everything.

Human Pitching:

Variability: 64
Fatigue: 47

AI Batting:

Contact: 51
Skill: 52
Take Strike Overall: 57
Ahead: 55
Behind: 51
Take Ball Overall: 54
Ahead: 55
Behind: 53
Power: 51

AI Running:

Aggressiveness: 55
50 for the other two

AI Pitching:

Corner: 75
Change Speed: 75
Change Location: 75
Throw Strike Overall: 50
Throw Strike Ahead: 42
Throw Strike Behind: 50
Everything else 50.

Miscellaneous:

Everything at 51 except for Catching Aggression at 50.

The game is practically perfect for me now, although it was good already. I feel like I really earn any homeruns I hit. Playing as the Yankees, even the Devil Rays can give me a good game, I just barely beat them 3 to 2 after I scored two in the first inning and then slacked off the rest of the way.

I wanted a 2 to 1 strike/ball ratio, which I got. And deadly hitters are real dangerous still. I'm sure these sliders will work great with any Pitch Speed setting, but like I said, Medium is what I prefer, and there seems to be more effectiveness to offspeed pitches on this speed.

Let me know what you think if you try them.

i am not sure if i am playing the same game as i read some of you's sliders. i play on legend and have human power down to 32. yet i have 3 guys in the top 5 in home runs in the majors. i raised AI pitching alot. corner pitching up to about 90. i was gettin pitches down the middle way too many times and that would result in the long ball. i also moved up the "change of speed" to about 75. everything else really is the same. i jacked up AI baserunning to 95 so that they try to advance to the next base more frequently. at times the AI wasnt trying to advance even if the ball was at the wall and my guy is just grabbin it. i also moved up AI batting. meaning i moved up their ability to take pitches whether they are balls or strikes. makes me work the batter more. but thats about it. i just dont see how some of you have power at 45. i was getting easy 3-4 homers a game at 40.

anyone know the effect of the human pitching fatigue? i know some of you have discussed it in the previous posts. HOWEVER, i have the fatigue on set on 20. YET, my number 1 and 2 pitchers have "tired" in the 70 pitch count. i move the slider up the other way to about 80 and they tire much faster. so obviously the lower the slider the less they fatigue. it just seems like all that movement on slider doesnt do much to the fatigue. its a very very small increase or decrease. just wanted to know if someone has had any luck with it. thanks!
