He's never failed a test so you don't know that he used drugs, the only thing they have on him really is testimony from his ex-trainer. That is he said she said, it's not concrete evidence. For all we know is his ex-trainer told the the authorities exactly what they wanted to hear to save his butt.
Correct me I am wrong.Last edited by Diadem; 03-08-2006, 05:00 PM."It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You." - LeGrandComment

Originally posted by BGarrett7Would they have found schedules and calendars which match up exactly to Bonds daily schedule and the Giants schedule years prior to when they got caught for their illegal activity? Sure, Conte and Anderson could have very easily been telling the authorities "what they want to hear" but that does not explain the evidence collected from the BALCO facilities and Anderson's home. That is what is so damning to Bonds in all this. Testimony can be faked through, not easily, but as you like to so adamently profess about weight training, but it is possible. There is proof that Bonds acquired these drugs and that he was using them. The evidence that has been presented here goes far beyond "he said, she said" at this point."It's A Business Doing Pleasure With You." - LeGrandComment

Originally posted by DGetzI agree completly about Selig's responsibility to the game and that he is at fault for letting this problem grow to the extent it did. However the post I was referencing was referring to the potential physical side effects to a steroid user and I read it as blaming Selig for what may happen to the player's bodies down the road. While as I said I agree 100% that Selig is at fault for allowing steroids to become so prevalent in baseball he isnt responsible for what others do to their own bodies.Comment

Originally posted by posterLike rsox said he let it go because people like HR's and he needed to repair damage that the strike caused. That is why I blame him. rsox put it well so I will not elaborate further.
Blaming Selig for failing to protect the integrity of the game is fine. However what is comes down to is that ultimetly each individual player is personally responsible for what they choose to put in to their body and effects it may have. However I think if anyone wants to look beyond the players for someone to blame for the potential health risks of taking steriods I would look at Fehr and the MLBPA. Rather than look out for the interests of their players they fought to essentially allow players to use steroids.

No what is sad is the idea that grown men in their 30's shouldnt be responsible for what they choose to willingly put in their own bodies."Darth Vader doesn't cry, Peter."

The fact that his jaw and head grew two sizes bigger should indicate steriod use too. I don't know anyone that worked out sans roids that had their hatsize expand two sizes.Comment
