Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever. -

My back problems caused me to miss the entire last month of my senior year for baseball, and is taking me out of the first two weeks for Joe DiMaggio summer league. You're right on that part... back problems, especially when playing 162 games a year, carry you around for LIFE.
They may come at random times, too. Last time I just had neck and shoulder blade inflammation from sliding into third base. I've had it from swinging, sneezing, waking up "wrong", and even trying to force a small hat on my head.
Anyway, I don't ever dare wish injury on somebody, but I think he really may have the same kind of trouble when he's older that Bonds is having now... only it will be in his back. Like I said, the back creates a lot of problems.
Pujols against Bonds starts tomorrow. I sure hope that Bonds swings the same in the next three games like he swung today. I sure don't mind hits right now... he needs an average. The home runs come with that, and he needs to realize that again.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Official Barry Bonds Thread
I wish that Bonds would just pass Ruth already so that we could get off of this subject.
All Bonds has done is tie for second place in the most Homeruns hit category. He is not and will never be the Icon of baseball that Ruth is.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Here is an interesting article trying to speculate on how many HR's Bonds would have hit if he hadn't (if he indeed did) used steroids. I thought it was an interesting approach to take at least.

That's a good read. Very interesting. Wether he juiced or not I hate the fact that he even got close enough to all of this to have people start talking about him. And what they said at the end is true. Without the roids Bonds is a dam great player...with them hes a great player dammed. There are other things you can factor in as well. Had he still been 206 rather than what? 226?? he probably wouldnt ahve all the leg problems either. I think at 206 Bonds still has the same chance to break Ruth and Arron..granted it might take him 2 more years BUT it would be two more years of probably palying without leg and groin injuries, etc.
The reality IMO is that for every 100 baseball fans, 40 dont like bonds. , maybe 5-10 of them dont like him because they are pure fans of the game. The other 30-35 dont like him just because of his personality and the fact he wasnt playing for thier team. Those are the ones i could care less about. The thing is Bonds should have known that there are people that simply just dont like him..even before all the Balco stuff..but now that there is the Balco things, it now gives people who had no real legit reason to not like him, something to burn him at the steak about. I remember when some people were hating on MJ cuz of the gambling thing. Same people who really just didnt like him cuz he dropped 50 points on thier team the other night.__________________________________________________ ____

By the way, Pujols hit his first home run at AT&T Park today in 60 at-bats there. Before this, he had a 58 AB homerless drought here. I tend to call this place a pitcher's park... with Busch Stadium III a very friendly hitter's park.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

You are insane!!!! Look at the right field wall and tell me what the distance is. 312-315ft, something like that. Then look at the dimensions of Busch and tell me what they are.
And don't use that crap about well, the right field wall is high because so is the green monster and people still jack homers over that thing.
Maybe the better way to say is that Busch is a hitter friendly park and AT&T is a steroid user friendly park!!!I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
