Yeah but not all of the home runs in the new stadium are hit to that location. Also many of the listed dimensions are the same.
    NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
    NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
    MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
    NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)

      Ok?

Unless your saying a stadium shouldn't allow any homeruns I do t know what your point is.

Unfortunately, listed dimensions only list, what, 5-7 areas of the wall.

And very Old Yankee Stadium was much much deeper so if you're asking why Gehrig, Mantle, DiMaggio, Ruth and others aren't being questioned, it's probably because they had to hit balls over 450 feet to left-center or centerfield and over 400 to right center (though, the right field line was shorter than 300 feet).

It wasn't until 1976 that the Stadium had its famous dimensions and many Yankee "greats" since then haven't exactly been rolling into Cooperstown (see: Don Mattingly, Bernie Williams).

In fact, when Derek Jeter eventually gets elected, he will be the first (regular) Yankees hitter to make the HOF without Veteran Committee help since Mickey Mantle in 1974.

You don't consider Reggie Jackson as a (regular) Yankee hitter?

He spent more years with the As. Nowhere near as many Yankee years as other people like Jeter, Bernie, Posada, Donnie Baseball, etc. but I think most people do consider him a Yankee.

I was torn on him. Even if you do choose Reggie as a Yankee, it's still gonna be over 25 years before another Yankees hitter is elected.

Yep I can see what you mean so your point still stands. I was just curious.

Musial, Ruth, Williams, Gehrig and now Jones are the only players in Major League history to record at least 2,500 hits, 1,500 walks, 1,500 runs, 500 doubles, 450 home runs and 1,500 RBIs while hitting .300 with a .400 on-base percentage and .500 slugging percentage.

Nope, not convinced, I still need more.

4 or 5 seasons should do it.

Is Jones in danger of having that .400 OBP dip below? He's at .401 right now.

I believe he would have to plummet in the next couple of weeks for that to happen. Pretty sure he's safe.

Edit: I did the math. He would have to go 0 for his next 31 PA to drop below .400.

As his career winds down, legendary switch-hitter Chipper Jones is piling up some pretty incredible numbers.

Today is Chipper Jones Appreciation Day at the ballpark. Ceremony starts at 7pm ET. I'm pretty sure (hope) it will be on braves.com.

Should be broadcast on MLBN and/or ESPN too, to be honest. Hope so.

If something isnt shown on ESPN i will swear them off forever. I already hate visiting the site and watching their channels because of the ridiculous north east bias they all seemingly have. Chipper Jones and Derek Jeter are the last of a dying breed. First ballot hall of famers that restructured their contracts, and played for one team throughout their entire career. You just dont see that sort of dedication from management or players anymore
