Sorry, Yankee fans, but:
Axelrod said he recently gave Towers a list of teams to which Peavy might consent to being traded. On that list were the Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros and St. Louis Cardinals.

Re: Where Will Jake Peavy Land?
I would love to see Peavy in LA but I doubt it happens and for some reason Im not so sure we should give up Kemp just yet either, not to mention I dont get why we would trade Kershaw for him, thats idiotic at best. Unless LA is ready to resign Manny and make a real run at the World Series next year, we might as well get Kershaw ready to start in LA on opening day and play Kemp/Ethier and a platoon of Jones and Pierre in the OF since I doubt Manny is coming back either.Comment

Re: Where Will Jake Peavy Land?
The Braves could certainly use an ace like Peavy, especially with Hudson and Smoltz out for next season.
The Astros could be a big player in this also. They need another top line pitcher behind Oswalt because the Brandon Backe's and Wandy Rodriguez' of the world are not the answer.
Does anyone remember the mid-to-late 90's when it seemed like the Padres/Astros/Tigers were always making trades between eachother?. Good times.Comment

Re: Where Will Jake Peavy Land?
Hopefully the Dodgers, so he can get 6-7 shutout victories each season against the Padres for being so ****** and only getting him losses and no decisions.
No surprise, talk one side and **** out of your hole with bs. This organization has no direction except signing and trading your best prospects for old has-beens and doing PR moves.
But on the bright side, maybe we can get a bunch of Melvin Nieves...
I wouldn't be surprise to see them trade Adrian Gonzalez too. Oh well, here we back to reliving the "glory" days of 1999-2003... and any other year where we traded quality for nothing.Comment

Heck, Atlanta would probably be the best destination for Peavy. 1) It's near his hometown, 2) I think he grew up as a Braves fan, 3) We made a awesome deal once with Atlanta back in 1992-1993 when we gave them Fred McGriff I think and got "wonderful" prospects out of that, so we could strike gold and net the next generation of busts here.Comment

Re: Where Will Jake Peavy Land?
Please, just get him to any team that deserves a quality ace, hell, you guys can take Adrian Gonzalez too while you're at it! The Padres are committed to becoming a AAA team!Comment
