Schilling should and will get in. It might take him a few ballots though because of his lack of wins and Cy Young awards.

Holliday has quite a hill to climb to even warrant discussion. I doubt he'll get in since he'll lack counting stats and accolades and will have the Coors factor working against him.

I misspoke on Kevin Brown, he's deserving. Agree on Abreu, he's gonna just miss it. Holliday has a ways to go.

Holliday is a no from me, unless he puts up 3-4 more seasons like he did at Coors. Not gonna happen.

As much as I loved Abreu's game (I'm a fan of anyone that walks 100 times a year) he has no chance.

I'd love to see the Phillies put Abreu on their wall of fame but no way he should enter Cooperstown.

Abreu's getting the short end of the stick here IMO. Compared to a few outfielders considered "borderline" by some of you guys Abreu actually looks better. Roughly the same OPS and HR as Ordonez but with many many more steals, hits, runs, doubles, triples plus a cannon arm.

If anything I have a bias against him. He basically forced his way out of Denver because he wanted the big $$. Then he goes on to kill the Rockies every time he plays them. I'm not a Holliday fan at all.

I would like to thank him for CarGo though.

Who's considering Magglio borderline? From where I'm sitting he was rejected pretty unanimously.

Fact is, Abreu was a power/speed guy with < 300 HRs and < 400 SB. He could work a BB, and he was consistently good, not HOF good though.

I think Abreu's pretty damn close to HOF. I don't think he's a HOFer, but he's really close for me, and I think if there was a super weak ballot or something he'd have a nice chance.

You haven't read through the thread properly if you think no one's considering Magglio borderline.

                          Abreu is a definite no.
he was underrated in his early Philly years when they sucked, but not an all time great. Basically after he turned 30 he turned into an above average/decent starter.

What about Tim Hudson? I wouldn't call him one now, but say he can pitch a few more years and get up to 240 wins, that with 2,000 strikeouts, playing on a recognizable team in the Braves?

Nope. He wouldn't get my vote, anyway. Just so many pitchers that were better than him during my lifetime.

Ya BRO lol. I'm sure about that. Read through the thread again. There's a lot more on Magglio than just those posts. On top of that, some of the VERY POSTS you put there are implicating him as a borderline hall of famer. On top of the one that says "nowhere close" was mine LMAO.

Anyway, let's just drop it. Neither guy deserves to get in.
