I can understand where Hanley is coming from, no-one likes being replaced by someone new when they have been the number one in that position for a few years. A trade could be best for him after the year he had.

What a jerk. Who does Hanley Ramirez think he is?

The problem with headcase pros is that they forgot (or never had to face) that in high school, if you're not living up to your potential, you (should) get your *** benched!Comment

Well I think this makes more sense. Less financial obligation and signing pitchers with a good enough track record.
Even if they don't sign Fielder, Miami wins free agency if they can get Wilson to join Beurhle and Reyes.

Re: The Hot Stove League Thread
Agreed. The more I think about it, the more I don't mind the fact that we aren't getting pujols. I mean, a lot can happen in 10 years. Who knows if he will be the same player in 2022, and I seriously doubt he will be. Besides, pitching wins championships. Johnson + Buerhle + Wilson + A. Sanchez in the rotation? Octavio Dotel is left to decide between St. Louis or Detroit. Cardinals would only go 1 year, but Detroit didn't rule out 2 years. Sounds like Detroit had a better offer. He's gonna decide soon.JayElectronicaBluElzhi2PacTheNotoriousB.I.G.ReksSc arfaceFashawnJeruThaDamajaComment

If he declines, I look forward to monitoring the Ramirez stuff all night. It reminds me of when news of the Greinke trade started to leak out at like midnight last year and I didn't end up sleeping until like 6AM that day.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

I hope he realizes he's ****ing us if he accepts and he'll play on a mediocre team next year as a set-up man.

Re: The Hot Stove League Thread
I really want to keep Dotel but with how much of the payroll Pujols is going to tie up and still having an opening at 2B that needs filling (and possibly SS although Mike Matheny is high on Tyler Greene), I can't imagine we match whatever Detroit offers or go beyond one year, plus RH RP is one of our strongest areas, but Dotel was money down the stretch and he dominated Ryan Braun repeatedly, that alone makes me want him back.Favorite Teams:
NCAA- University of Illinois Fighting Illini
NFL- Cleveland Browns
MLB- St. Louis Cardinals
NBA- Boston Celtics
NHL- Chicago Blackhawks
