I sure dont' want Greene starting this year..but like you said MM is high on him..Have you heard anything about us talking to Furcal to come back?

So, if we cut K-Rod, we end up eating about 2.5 mil, I guess.

That probably doesn't take us out of the running for Aramis, probably doesn't take us out on Furcal, probably takes us out of signing both of them though.

              Hold on until 11 PM

11:03pm: Rodriguez has accepted arbitration, tweets McCalvy. 9:45pm: Agent Scott Boras says his client is still mulling his decision, tweets …

But we could cut KRod tomorrow and only eat 2.5 mil?

That's what the people over at BrewCrewBall tell me. And I have no reason not to trust them.

Wow that would be awesome!! Let's wait until 11 PM to know the truth... Supposedly the source of KRod accepting arby was from some unknown Venezuelan source.

Furcal liked it here and I would think with Albert being back (if things don't change or fall through it looks like he will be) I think he would like to be but I don't think we can come close to giving him the money he wants unless someone will take Lohse or Westbrook, and even if they find a taker either of them would have to waive their NTC.

I don't think we'll look for a longterm fix at 2B with Wong looking to be ready for the bigs possibly as early as next season (or even September possibly), SS Matheny really seems to like Greene and who knows maybe if he gets more steady playing time he'll show what he has shown in the minors. Ryan Jackson is also getting close to being big league ready but then again hard to say what kind of future he has at this point, sounds like he'll be a good defensive option but his bat is iffy.

It's going to be interesting to see how things play out with the middle infield this year, I don't think Skip will be back due to he can probably get more elsewhere, I would imagine we'll probably see Punto brought back to be a super sub in the infield and if I had to guess I'd say opening day SS would be Greene and 2B probably Descalso, with the huge Pujols contract I think we'll be going with cheap options from within.

I bet the Rangers land him. They'll probably lose Wilson to the Angels today, and they'll want to make a big splash.
