Are there any vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Detroit? The midwest is not exactly known for it's alternate cuisine.

If he was able to eat vegan in Milwaukee I'm sure he can pull it off in Detroit. Unless he gets tempted by that singing hot dog guy.

Hold on, are we sure there's no charts online where I can superimpose Detroit on top of Milwaukee and compare the number of vegan restaurants?

Expect moves that involved one of the better available players to be scrutinized. It's the offseason, there's not much else to talk about. It'd be the same had a thread been created about this transaction.

New Rockies road uniform for this year and on. Older version (93-99) had ROCKIES across the chest, subtle change from those.

After a while, carrots can be traumatizing.

But they also improved his vision, hence the 100 walks

Come to think of it, Delmon Young could really use some carrots

Nice attempt to ruin the Tigers season, but I'll be opening a rehab center next door to your bar.

Of the 7 players the Marlins have signed to major league contracts so far it's only worth about $32 million in 2012. Pretty good value when combined with what they already had to make a run at a playoff spot.

I didn't mind the striped away unis, but these are nice.

av, you going to start up the 2012 Rockies thread soon?

Here's what Jim Bowden thinks the Rangers should do about their OF situation....

Trade LHP Martin Perez to the Minnesota Twins for CF Denard Span

The Twins are desperate to rebuild their rotation, and Perez should develop into a front-line starter. The Twins could then move Ben Revere to center field and put free-agent signee Josh Willingham in left.

From the Rangers’ perspective, this would allow them to move Josh Hamilton to left field and improve their defense in center. Span also would give them a legitimate leadoff hitter and a better chance to win the World Series now than if they waited for Leonys Martin to develop.

As an added bonus, Span is signed at a reasonable cost through 2015, which makes him far more valuable to a contender than he is to the Twins, a club that is in a bit of a rebuilding period. The Rangers are deep in rotation candidates, so Perez is expendable.

                              I would hate that trade.
