It's going to be real entertaining if Nick Markakis is traded to the Astros.

And he'll get 5 chances to deliver that beating:

    March 10th
    March 20th
    September 25th
    September 26th
    September 27th

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

They don't have to throw at anyone. Just take out the fielder covering 2nd on a double play, barrel into the catcher at home if the opportunity is there, run over the pitcher when he's covering 1st, accidentally clip the catcher with your bat on a backswing, etc etc.

When we're in the midst of a scandal like this, it's important to remember that baseball has always been filled with hypocrites who are only sorry when they're caught.

I'm jaded enough to think that you are right, but we havent seen this level separation within the entire baseball fraternity before. During the steroid era you would get sound bites from guys occasionally, and there have been instances since then of random things popping up. We are hearing universally from players condemning this though and even from guys who never say anything.

I'd rather every team spend that much energy beating these guys, when Houston comes up on your schedule, always bring your A game. in a perfect world the 2020 Asstros would have Detroit's 2019 record or Baltimore's 2018 record. too bad Houston didn't rehire Brad Mills or Bo Porter instead of Dusty lol

What I think every team that plays the Astros should do is play the first game of every series under protest. It won’t change anything but would send a unified message to MLB head office that they are not happy with the league’s handling of the scandal.

You can only protest a game for an on field ruling and you are disputing the interpretation of the rules.

They should have hired someone who is universally beloved and above criticism, to use that sympathy card as a shield. Like Cal Ripken or Oprah.

not a fan of how much Oprah shifts, or uses her bullpen. but at least she's better than Ellen.

On the steroids thing, I don't know that I agree with that; plenty of players who weren't using were quite loud/adamant that those who were using were cheating/impacting players careers. A lot of the same arguments about steroids are being made here, which I find ironic because I think that the majority of people on this board are against any type of punishment for steroid users.
