Was looking through tons of milb pages while prepping a video game roster and noticed that Jameson Taillon is carving up AAA batters (a Kershawian 51:5 K:BB ratio) for the Indianapolis Indians. Nice to see this kid back on track after a couple of tough years of injuries. He might be the next big thing, depending on whether he, Giolito, De Leon, or Urias comes up first. Best of luck to him, except when he pitches against the Cubs.

Braves will be on their 2nd new one in the amount of time the A's have been there. I used to be legit outraged at their stadium situation, now it's to the point of ridiculousness.

I'm not going to read all this. But I'm betting it's for stealing every single pop-tart in the house so that the kids don't have none.

That's the sad thing. Oakland deserves a new park but when there is no civic will the team languishes. That's why I'm glad the City of Arlington and the Rangers have such a great relationship and that we can get this done so that they can stay for decades to come.

What is the holdup there? All those billionaires in the Bay and none of them care about baseball? I don't think it should be the burden of the city to pay for the stadium, but it seems like they're also in a tough place because they wanted to move to San Jose and the Giants run that area. Is it an issue where the owners just won't foot the bill for a new stadium or is it more complicated than that?

Well...Turner Field was created for the Olympics and retro-fitted to be a baseball stadium.

As far as O.Co...one good thing I'll say about it is their outfield grass always looks awesome.

                          Brad Pitt agrees.

Heck, I agree too. Back in the day when I was a kid and we used to be let on the field after the game for fireworks night, it was the greatest grass I had ever been on.

Of course, I'm sure all professional ballparks are like that, but something definitely felt different being down on there. The Coliseum is a cathedral like no other today since all of the others have been knocked down.

I'll miss it when it's gone.
