re: MLB Off-Topic
For first time in several years, I actually played MVP Baseball 2005. I've completely forgotten how to do everything on it lol. Didn't bother looking at game manual, just started playing game. I lost 7-3 on rookie mode lol.
The game is still so cool. Load times are so fast on that game, especially when you compare it to the sports games of today. Was able to do so much in so short time because of it. And that player finder like tool was so helpful as well.
I made a "best of" Blue Jays roster using whoever was available in the game.
C-Pat Borders
1B-Carlos Delgado
2B-Roberto Alomar(I couldn't believe he was in the game! Forgot he retired after 2004)
3B-Scott Rolen(couldn't think of anyone else at the moment to put there, but Tony Batista is a guy I forgot about)
SS-Jose Reyes(crazy to realize in MVP Baseball 2005,he was just a prospect)
LF-Shawn Green
CF-Vernon Wells
RF-Jose Bautista
DH-Frank Thomas
and P wise, got Halladay,Dickey,Buehrle all in the game!Comment

re: MLB Off-Topic
I am by no means a Yankee fan, but I have nothing but respect for Derek Jeter. He is what's right about the game of baseball and played the game the way it was meant to be played.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

MLB Off-Topic 2014
Hope he's doing alright.
We often forget these guys are people before they are baseball players. We never think about the pressures of the actual job they have. So much traveling, non-stop. I'm traveling for work today about 1.5 hours for the weekend and I'm stressing out! Obviously, there is great incentive for athletes, but just because they're great athletes doesn't mean they are invincible to the things that affect "regular" people. I think that's something we are all learning with all the stuff coming out in the NFL. These are still just men/women who have lapses of judgement, are generally bad people, or any number of other characteristics we see in our friends, family, and acquaintances.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Just crazy overall to see how much things have changed in less than 10 years. How much more updated things are, especially with ability to download roster updates, and especially how much better graphics have gotten.Comment

Wow…when did Mitch Williams get fired from MLBN? I missed that completely..."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Phil Hughes, in his last start of the season, came up .1 innings short of a $500,000 bonus.
Game was delayed today because of rain, he finished with 209.2 innings, needed 210. Didn't get put in after the rain delay.
